Definitely seems past its prime, but still has some nice cherry and tobacco notes. Very nice, dusty texture. The mouthfeel is probably the most elegant part of this wine which feels like a much more expensive wine.

Phenomenal bottle of wine. Started singing its colors around 3 hours after being opened. Medium opaque. As the last person posted, plum and dark cherry. Great chalky texture. One of the better wines of the year.

Fantastic classic California cab! Opaque, fruit is still strong and will last many more years. Opened for 3-4 hours and was just wonderful.

Opaque, dark purple. Eucalyptus, tobacco, and a little leather. Still plenty of fruit. Was a little astringent on the mouth after opening, but mellowed out after 3-4 hours being open. Great wine!

Nice opaque visual with solid legs. Great texture of that dolcetto sediment.

A bit too on the oaky side for me which tended to take away from the subtleties and smoothness that I enjoy about a California pinot. I have another bottle, so maybe I'll leave it open longer than the single hour that I kept this bottle open before consuming.

Still drinking great. Inky, dry finish with a dusty essence. Really enjoyed and tasted great right out of the bottle.

Nice even out of the bottle. Not too tight. Light and fairly translucent color. Not too much fruit left. The nose on it is so PRO. It just smells like an incredibly put together Burgundy.

Continued to improve over the course of the next hour or two as we decanted.

Big fruit still. Opaque, musty smell. Leather taste, dry on the finish. Nice dusty mouthfeel. Very enjoyable!

Left open for about an hour before drinking with lamb dinner. Very smooth and easy drinking. Almost no acidity. Opaque, cherry.

Nice balance (I'm a little biased because I love Acorn wines), medium transparency, tobacco, spice, medium acidity

Huge wine. Inky and opaque, tobacco. Sure to get a few more years before the fruit falls off.

Very viscous for a pinot. Big and I feel just entering its drinking window. Fairly alcoholic, but smoothed out after being in the decanter for about 3 hours.

Wine was inky and opaque. A little odd when I first opened, very prominent on the acidity. After an hour the wine mellowed out a little but still very alcoholic (14.9%).

Inky, bold fruit. Cherry cola. Great zin spice. Love these zins from Acorn!

Inky and opaque. Hints of leather and tobacco. Delicious wine and probably in its prime right now. Fruit is definitely in the background.

Beautiful browning in color. Translucent and wonderful, almost California-esque, pinot nose. Very elegant, but not too fruit forward (could be due to the 5 year age). I wouldn't say this will age much more, but it's drinking wonderfully now.

One of the more refined zins I've enjoyed from Seghesio. Elegant and drinking well now. Decanted for 1 hour and was a bit overpowered by the BBQ we had with it. Would suggest lighter fare.

Wonderful opaque, cherry. Took about 1.5-2 hours to reach its peak in the decanter. Reminds me of the elegance of a Rodney Strong Symmetry. Great value.

Nasty cheap wine smell, but tastes much better than it smells. Nice spice, good heft on the fruit.

Big fruit for a 5 year old wine, opaque, strong tannins on first sip, but after an hour of decanting, the wine mellowed out. Wonderful blend from Acorn!

Nice opaque color. Solid dolcetto showing from Acorn. A bit higher on the acidity than previous Dolcetto's from Acorn. Cherries are prominent. Enjoy now.

This is just a gorgeous pinot in my eyes (and taste pallet!). Somewhat smokey color. Great balance and light tannins. Everything I love a Sonoma pinot to be. Just ordered 3 more bottles. Drinking perfectly now.

Very new world tasting CDP. Tannic edge wore off in the decanter after a couple hours and was much smoother. This wine is still tasting quite young, even in 2015.

Wonderful fruit. Opaque, tons of sediment, delicious. Prunes, jam. Don't think this wine has much structure to age very long, but I heavily enjoyed it with steak this new years eve.

To be upfront, I'm loving red wine from the Southern Rhone right now. Translucent in color, but big on the robust punch. Young wine with hints of herbal flavors such as thyme and rosemary. Almost drinks like a dry Oregon pinot noir. I'm a fan!

This was dryer than all Acorn wines I've ever had. Not saying that in a bad way. The fruit is still beautifully balanced and well composed. Drinking beautifully now.

Good body and well balanced. Drank over two nights with fresh pasta both nights. Dark cherry, smooth tannins. Needs to be consumed w/ food. Better on the second night (I stopped it with a Vacu-vin overnight).

Petrol on the nose. Sweet, low alcohol. Great before or after dinner wine. Very enjoyable and refreshing due to its low acidity. Definitely one of the more 'dessert' style rieslings from St. Urbans-Hof

Very drinkable. Prunes. Translucent color. Smooth pinot indicative of the Sonoma region. A little bit harsh around the edges with an acidic, alcohol tinge, but solid for an $11 bottle of wine.

Gorgeous wine. (though I'm a sucker for Acorn) Hints of cinnamon spice, and everything nice. Dark, nearly opaque appearance. Perfect, subtle amount of oak, which is the predominant finish. Cherry. Love this wine for every day drinking. Drinking very well now.
