This is an easy drinking wine from Sicily with sour cherry fruit, bing cherries, good minerality and a medium finish. It seems to be very primary with its fruitiness and acidity, but i am assuming that this is not a wine for aging.

Another great showing of this village level burgundy. The nose is quite expressive with a little barnyard aroma and some bing cherry. On the palate, there is some sour cherry, strawberry, rhubarb, green tea, allspice and it has a medium finish. It has gained in complexity since my last bottle and it is a joy to drink. It seems like it has some aging potential still.

This is a high toned, pure Chardonnay from Ganevat. A gentle nose of citrus greets you at the glass. It does have nice lemon, lemon curd and some almonds on the palate along with its palate cleansing acidity and stony minerality. Also, it has medium body and a lingering finish.

This bottle was much better than the previous two that I had drunk recently. It had nice dark red fruits, forest floor, a little lead pencil, and a medium finish. I hope the rest of my bottles from this vintage are as good or better.

This bottle was better in that the fruit was more intact. But it is still on a downward trajectory, so I am still recommending that one should drink these up.

Same notes as last time: A very nice Chardonnay with good citrus fruit, balanced acidity and well integrated oak.

This bottle is performing a lot better than the last one I tried. The color is orange at the rim and it has a good fruity nose to it. On the palate, the fruit forward nature of this vintage shows through with lots of sweet juicy berry fruit, earthiness, garrique and a little spice.

This wine was nice to drink, but it is certainly fading. The fruit, while still there, is in the background. I would highly recommend pulling the corks on any bottles that you may have and enjoy them sooner, rather than later.

So for my last bottle of this wine, I find it to be completely different from my prior experience, in a good way. Was it just needing more cellar time? But this bottle has some light integrated oak, nice citrus fruit, good acidity and a medium finish. Very nice.

This is a lovely Pinot noir with juicy red fruits, including cherries and raspberries, maybe some blackberries too. It seems to have gained complexity since I last tried it and it is quite satisfying now. The nose is very aromatic with blue violets and dark fruit aromas. Based on this bottle, I believe this wine has some years to go, but why wait?

This is a light bodied wine with lots of nice fruit and minerality. For the fruit, apricot comes to mind, along with some peach. It is very interesting and enjoyable. I like the low alcohol at 12%.

This bottle is much better than my previous one. The fruit, which is primarily sour cherry, is pleasant and the minerality is nice. But the wine seems to be entering its final phase.

Opened the bottle a short while ago and decanted it to avoid the sediment. The cork was partially soaked, but quite alright after all this time. The nose has that old wine smell (you’ll have to use your imagination) and the color is orange at the rim.

On the palate, it is very good, with lots of dark red fruits, mellow tannins and its Italian acidity, all intact.

This wine is more old world style, but still has two feet in California. It does have nice minerality and some good citrus fruit, but it is not that smooth on the palate. It is sort of astringent on the finish.

This wine has a lovely floral bouquet and a light red color to it. On the palate it is very delicious with cherry, sour cherry and raspberry fruit along with nice minerality and balanced acidity. The wine has complexity and suppleness. It wine seems to have the ability to age for some time, but why wait? And, of course, it is a great value.

We are really enjoying this wine again with its lovely lemon and lime citrus fruit and acidity. It also has such great minerality, sea salt (not unlike Chablis) and a full mouthfeel and finish to it.

Wow, this is drinking so well right now. Lots of berry fruit, including cherries, raspberries and blueberries. It is very smooth and the fruit has a velvety feel on the palate. It has some earthiness and spice to the finish. This is why I love Oregon Pinot Noir so much, especially for the price when compared to Burgundy.

Well, I am having a very similar experience with this wine as my last bottle. When first opened, this wine offered an unpleasant nose of stinky funk. Fortunately after an hour or two, it has settled down, but still has a little funk to it. It has a very light color to it and on the palate it seems to be past its prime. The fruit is there, but weak, like the color. Nevertheless, the flavors are good with notes of pale colored cherries. As I mentioned last time, if i had ordered it at a restaurant, I would have sent it back. I have never had such a stinky burgundy. I have one more bottle to get through.

I think this is a great Clape Cornas. It has a deep red color with the slight orange color at the rim just hinting that it is starting to mature. It has lots of dark red fruits, including ripe plums and black cherries, and nice minerality. It also has herbs de Provence, a little licorice, led pencil, well balanced tannins and acidity.

I think this is a nice vintage of this wine that is drinking well right now. It has lots of dark red fruit, garrique, forest floor, a little bit of cedar, mellow tannins and a medium finish. The acidity is in balance along with the alcohol, even though it is high at 14.5% (what CdP isn’t?). It should last several more years.

This wine is ready to drink but still has many years of life ahead as there is still ample tannin on the palate. As is typical for Bandol, in my opinion, this wine is rustic in a good way. It is full bodied, with dark red fruit, garrique, balanced acidity and a medium finish.

So this bottle is not as nice as our last one. While still very good, it lacked the complexity of the previous bottle. It does have nice citrus fruit, a little oak on the palate followed by good acidity and minerality. The finish is sort of off, however. Maybe some bottle variation.

This is a nice, mineral driven Chardonnay from California. Nice citrus fruit, a touch of oak and good minerality. While it is still giving pleasure, it is nearing the end of its drinking window.

This wine was underwhelming. I bought it today at one of my local wine shops mostly out of curiosity. I realized after I brought it home that it was from the 2015 vintage. I think this wine would be much better the first year after it is released. This is not meant to be an age worthy wine, in my opinion. So my notes about the wine include it being astringent with not much fruit.

I still like this wine even though the fruit is starting to fade somewhat. The cork did have a musty odor to it, but this did not come through on the palate. It still has nice dark red fruit, blue violets, black pepper and a medium finish. I would not wait too much longer to enjoy these bottles.

The wine does have a nice nose of red violets and cherries. And on the palate, it is quite delicious for a village level wine. It has cherries, maraschino cherries, light tannins, good minerality and a medium finish. I would say though that this is not meant for long term cellaring. The drinking window ending 2022 seems just right.

This is not my favorite vintage of Gloria by a long shot as it is not that interesting. Yes, it does have good red fruit, but kind of bitter, not supple at all. Also, the tannins still seem to be prominate.

For a 30 old Saumur, not too bad. But seriously, while the wine was in tact and very drinkable, the fruit was faint and light, along with the color, of course. It is an interesting experiment to drink a 30 year old Cabernet Franc from the Loire and I appreciate knowing how it evolves into an elderly gentleman.

Oh my, this is my kind of California Chardonnay. It has tropical citrus fruit, lots of minerality, and a creamy texture and finish. Just the right amount of oak that is well integrated. Also, nice acidity to compliment the citrus fruit. A complex, Burgundian style Chardonnay from California.

This is a terrific Zinfandel! The color is bright red with an orange rim and the nose gives you an interesting bramble scent. On the palate, it has very nice dark red fruit, bramble, some garrique, almost like a Chateauneuf du Pape, and a savory finish.
