Cork was perfect. Color is still deep, with little amber at the edge. The nose is typical grenache fruit, raspberry, sour cherry; lots of spices, garrigue. Later some barnyard and leather. The palate shows a nice attack and good body. Tannins are beginning to melt. The finish is lingering. Very good wine, one of the best vintages of Charvin. Will hold.

Finish is long and tastes of blood and iron. Excellent bottle. Mature but no hurry to drink. Might even improve during the next 5-10 years.
