12/29/18, 8:25 PM - You are mistaken. Do not give it another year. LBV will not develop in the bottle like a true vintage Port.
12/29/17, 8:08 AM - You didn't answer the question.
9/8/17, 12:06 PM - Vague criticism and a weak attempt at showing off. You're SO too good for this wine, aren't you!
12/15/16, 4:42 PM - I don't think there's anything tannic about this wine. Strong acid. But no tannic acid, as it's not a red wine. Tannic acid, I believe, comes from the skins of red or black or purple grapes. You'll get tannins in Port wine, for example. But not Madeira (unless it's red Madeira, and even then it's not very tannic in my experience).
12/13/16, 6:37 PM - I'm curious. How much did you pay for your bottles? I paid $49 plus $5.95 for delivery per bottle. Vintage Madeira is so good. But so expensive. How long did you cellar your bottles, and did the flavour develop over time? Thanks, and cheers!
12/10/16, 9:42 PM - What qualities characterize a modern style of wine?
12/9/16, 11:38 AM - Thank you for that information. Very helpful!
12/3/16, 5:25 PM - Thank you and Bravo! Very helpful.
11/23/16, 8:47 AM - Johanpe, what would you say is the drinking window for this wine? I want to accurately tag it before I put it in my wine fridge. Thanks, and cheers!
11/23/16, 1:58 PM - Thanks! That's helpful. This is my first time trying red Madeira. I wasn't sure if it lasts indefinitely like white Madeira. Thanks again!
11/21/16, 2:00 PM - I don't remember. >=ol
5/22/16, 5:11 PM - Little discernible oak? That's surprising.
5/14/16, 7:23 PM - Was the five year old Blandy's a Bual? I'll have to look for it; sounds like it's a good wine.
4/28/16, 6:56 PM - Where did you buy it for $8?
4/30/16, 8:34 PM - Wau, fantastic deal! I paid $13 and thought I got a good deal.
4/26/16, 8:08 PM - Unapproachable? It didn't taste that way to me, from the half bottle.
4/21/16, 7:03 PM - Semi-dry or semi-sweet, in your judgment?
4/21/16, 6:59 PM - You were expecting more?
4/21/16, 6:57 PM - Are you sure this is oaked?
4/13/16, 8:40 PM - Thanks! Had some great wines that week. I would estimate I had it about six to eight months after purchase. Cheers!
3/24/16, 4:35 PM - Since the 15th century? The label says since 1658.
3/20/16, 12:43 PM - This wasn't sweet to you? That's very surprising. This is definitely a sweet wine. Maybe you drank a different wine and misremembered. What do you mean by regular Riesling? Dry Riesling?
2/27/16, 11:15 AM - Maybe it was a bad bottle? Is this wine past its drinking window now do you think? I got a bottle on sale.
2/20/16, 7:32 AM - Acronym violation lol! What does GM stand for?
2/20/16, 1:21 PM - LOL! I should have realized that. >=o]
12/31/15, 5:20 PM - Actually, from the printout for the wine.
12/20/15, 9:52 AM - What is the RS of the wine? I just bought this and was told it was dry.
12/20/15, 9:46 AM - Relatively dry Riesling? Just bought this and I was told it was dry.
11/14/15, 8:58 PM - Chinabounder do you have any thoughts on the drinking window for this wine? I just bought it and want to tag it before I put it in my bodega. I don't have any experience with the Souson grape. Thanks and cheers!
12/19/15, 8:10 PM - Thank you!
12/18/15, 5:45 PM - You're obviously not a real cellartracker user. You just created your profile today to make this comment. You have no profile and no tasting notes. I don't trust you.
12/16/15, 6:11 PM - I bet it will go swimmingly with your beef stew!
12/5/15, 8:52 PM - First time I've heard "construction site" in a wine tasting note! Pretty cool.
12/1/15, 6:40 PM - Do white wines like Vermentino get brown from age? I thought that was only red wines or certain Spanish sweet wines that are already kind of dark but are not considered reds.
12/1/15, 6:29 PM - What is EP?
12/1/15, 5:47 PM - This is a dry wine.
11/24/15, 9:42 PM - Do you drink much Bordeaux? Don't expect Bordeaux reds to have flavours like California Cab or Merlot. It's a totally different style. Also, Bordeaux reds must be consumed with food, and at the proper temperature. I have found the wines in this gift set to be satisfactory as inexpensive food wines. The set of four cost $30. So these are low priced wines.
11/21/15, 1:37 PM - That sounds delicious. Thanks, now I'm hungry! >;o)
11/14/15, 1:54 PM - Yiannis what do you think the drinking window is for this wine? Just bought it and want to accurately tag it before putting it in my bodega. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. Thanks and cheers!
11/17/15, 5:03 PM - Thanks! Expensive for an entry-level wine.
11/18/15, 10:25 AM - I paid US$22! >:ol And it's the only Xinomavro I've seen in quite a while.
11/15/15, 4:55 PM - Only one person has weighed-in on the drinking window. Wind5001 do you have any thoughts on it? I'd like to tag it with a drinking window before I put it in my bodega. Any thoughts you may have are welcome. Thanks, and cheers!
11/16/15, 5:59 AM - Thanks!

11/15/15, 9:54 AM - Thanks!
11/14/15, 9:36 PM - Hey, I paid $17 for my bottle! Not fair! >;o/
11/14/15, 8:59 PM - Pepppy do you have any thoughts on the drinking window for this wine? I just bought it and want to tag it before I put it in my bodega. I don't have any experience with the Souson grape. Thanks and cheers!
11/14/15, 8:16 PM - The traditional wisdom is that wine that is too warm, not too cold, is when you can taste the alcohol (a bit of a burning sensation). Imo, a red wine like this should be drunk neither right out of the fridge nor at room temperature, but between about 60 to 64 degrees F.
11/14/15, 7:59 PM - Not sure there is a "typical French wine." And when you say "a typical Cotes," what particular Cotes do you mean? There are more than one.
11/14/15, 2:22 PM - Zweder what do you think is the drinking window for this wine? I'd like to properly tag it before I put it in my bodega. Any thoughts you have would be welcome. Thanks, and cheers!

11/1/15, 2:57 PM - Old World wine is always best with food.
10/17/15, 4:01 PM - Where did you pay $20? I paid $30 at a discount wine store.
10/18/15, 12:58 PM - Amazing! I love Trader Joe's.
10/11/15, 3:14 PM - This is a wine meant to be drunk young. If it's tight, did you decant it or let it breathe?
9/6/15, 1:53 PM - Helpful note. Thanks! I'd like to label its drinking window before I put it in my bodega. Any more specific thoughts on that? I'll probably end up drinking it soon enough. But I like to label accurately just in case.
9/7/15, 4:15 PM - Thank you, that's very helpful. Cheers!
