A modern concoction which only a modern California wine can attain. The wine has some initial notes of a fruit bomb which is both aromatic and wildly fruity on the palette. So what is missing is a depth of flavors and nearly no finish. Very cosmetic wine which does not get past the immediate flavors of fruit. It is somewhat ironic that the tattoo images on the bottle be-speak the superficial nature of what is inside.

My wife and I had this, undecanted, over a 2.5 hour period at a fine restaurant to accompany an excellent cut of prime rib. The wine was perfectly chilled, with the first sip delivering an abundance of fruit to the nose and sweetness to the palate; followed by the attack with an explosion of peppery stimulation of the entire mouth; and a never ending finish revealing excellent structure that continued on and on and on.... In sipping the wine slowly over 2.5 hours the initial experience was repeated continually until, sadly, the bottle was finished...In summary, for a young, full bodied 15.5% Shiraz, the wine was exceptional, with an abundance of fruit balanced by good acidity with a very long finish!
