Excellent, well balanced Washington Syrah, from a consistent producer. Better on day 2.

Mouth coating with a syrupy texture. Very flavorful and enjoyable. Blackberry pie, bacon and smoke. Would be great with BBQ.

Another great bottle that is drinking really well with a short decant and even better on day 2. Still have plenty of life left too. Lovely.

I enjoyed the 2015 MUCH more. This vintage/bottle is tight and rough around the edges with a short finish. Serviceable, but I definitely preferred the 2015 over this vintage. We will see on the 2017...

Not impressed. I have had other vintages and enjoyed, so maybe just an off year...not much going on at all with this wine. Limited fruit, tons of acidity and overall bland. Tried over the course of three days and it took hours/day for the fruit to start to show.

I still keep getting surprised every time I open another bottle. Garagiste mystery wine @10 with shipping. Very enjoyable, solid, California style chardonnay. Touch of sweetness on the finish and that's ok by me...

Needs some time. A little rough around the edges on PNP, but certainly came around after a long decant. You can tell its Washington and that's a good thing. Very solid, well made Cab, that will only get better. Great QPR at $17!

Deep dark purple in the glass. Best on day 2 and although drinking very well right now, i will wait on my others as it has plenty of life left and it should develop into something really interesting. Right now, plenty of red fruit, mint and a nice finish. Very enjoyable and a killer QPR @ $20.

Deep dark color for a Pinot. Rich and flavorful with loads of blueberry that leads to a long finish. Great score on WTSO. Every wine I have had from this winery is good.

Very enjoyable blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Drank on its own. Smooth with red fruits and a nice medium, sweet finish. Solid.

Very enjoyable. Slightly sweet on the PNP, in a good way. Well rounded and juicy. With air it became more savory but still had a long sweet finish.

Light golden color in the glass. Has some pineapple on the nose and a real creamy finish. Picking up some butterscotch and sweet caramel on the finish too. Quite enjoyable.

Deep and dark in the glass with a nose of chocolate and spice. Real smooth as a PNP and continues to evolve in the glass but with consistent notes of black cherry, plums, coffee, cocoa and spice. Its hard to put down already, but should continue to evolve and get even better with a few more years of age. I wont be able to last that long for my next bottle, though!

Decanted for 6 hours and drank over the next 6 hours (NYE). Well made and still very young. Not an extracted style whatsoever. Very enjoyable now but will only get better. The fruit is in balance with the tannins. It paired well with a variety of Italian foods, especially a short rib gnocchi. I will hold the remaining bottles and will be interested to see how they develop.

Over delivers on what you would expect and if you have some, please wait and try on day 2. What a surprise. Real fun flavorful wine that is not complex but for the price point, who cares? Have fun!

Good bottle of California chardonnay. We did enjoy and we do like oak, vanilla and butter in our chardonnays. However, I have not had Newton Unfiltered in years and from what I remember it used to be more layered and complex. This bottle was more of a standard chardonnay that showed promise on the nose and the finish but fell short on the midpalate. The PP of $22 from Last Bottle is about right. Would not pay more.

Second magnum of this wine. While the first bottle showed more fruit, this bottle was more powerful. Really dark in the glass with loads of dark fruit on the nose and palate. Somewhat one dimensional on its own. Paired well with the first course of meat ravioli but shined when paired with Beef Tenderloin with mushrooms and blue cheese. Fantastic. I will wait at lease a few more years on my last magnum. This has PLENTY of life left in it, fo sure.

Another enjoyable bottle that once again was wonderful on its own and also paired well with a variety of cheeses. Balanced, elegant and with a long finish. Best closer to room temperature to really appreciate the flavor profile. Picked up apple, pear and hint of butterscotch this time. Yum!

Took the full three days to really open up...first two days were rather flat and boring. Bottle variation or fading only after 3 months from an opposite experience? We will see on the others that are in my cellar...

Quite enjoyable classic Cali Chard with more oak in this bottle. Creamy with apple, butterscotch and pear and a nice finish. I'll wait a little longer on my other bottles to see if it develops further.

Day 1 it screams green out of the glass. Green pepper, peppercorns and pine. If tasting blind, I definitely would not have pegged it as a Cabernet Sauvignon. I really enjoyed the wine and found myself amazed by the nose over and over. Day 2 it loses its nose somewhat and brings the "green" qualites to the palate. Very smooth and quite enjoyable.

Good but still needs time. Not much of a nose to speak of and drinks fine as a PNP but much better with 3-4 hours of air. Slightly sweet on PNP, then gets more chocolate notes and acidity creeps in. I will wait at least another year on the others in my cellar.

I continue to be impressed with this wine. Beautiful color in the glass and aromas of apple. Even at this age, it is showing no signs of deterioration and just an elegant wine at this point. Enjoy!

Last of the six bottles purchased and definitely the best. It has lost the strong spice and big fruit that I experienced from previous bottle that I drank too early. Gave it a two hour decant and it is in a really good spot right now. Very dark in the glass with a real nice balance of fruit and acidity. Paired well with Chicken Tandoori. Favorite part of the wine is the long finish of prune and kirsh.

Really nice blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Feels like it is ready to go now but has me intrigued to see where my other 2 bottles may go. Nice solid color in the glass and lighter on the edges. On PNP, starts out sweeter (not in a bad way) and then after some air becomes well balanced, with still plenty of strong tannins and a medium finish. Touch of heat but not obtrusive. Enjoyable now.

Really enjoyable pinot noir that looks and tastes more like California than Oregon. Great QPR at $20, which was part of a vertical, along with the '16 & '17. Lower in alcohol with a wonderful nose of raspberry and a clean acidic mid palate. The finish is very long and tastes like cherry cola. Loved it!

Love it! Really drinking well and right in my wheelhouse. Wonderful full body nose of red fruits and delicate spice. Juicy, gorgeous and really enjoyable. I am down to my "last bottle" and wish I had more. Enjoy!

Last of 6 bottle purchased and consumed over the last two years. The other bottles were consumed too early and this was definitely the most enjoyable. The additional bottle age, as well as a long decant certainly helped smooth it out. A solid everyday Pinot with good balance and classic characteristics of red fruit and spice. Paired well with baked chicken thighs, too.

Nothing special and not much going on with this wine that just seems to be in a funk. Paired ok with food (Pizza). Just really nothing to get excited about. Second day was no better. I have had other vintages and really enjoyed...I'll chalk it up to the vintage and it explains the closeout price I picked it up at , too.

Drinks very nice as a PNP and over the course of an hour. Lighter in the glass for a cabernet, with plenty of nice sweet clean fruit on the palate. Friends enjoyed, but did not think it was a Napa Cabernet, thought it was a blend.

Real nice $20 Carneros pick up from Garagiste. Nice golden yellow color with lemon and golden delicious apple on the finish. You can taste and feel the oak, which is there but does not dominate. Expect the oak will interstate in another year.

Solid. I liked it best on day two. Rich, but not overpowering, solid Napa Cabernet that will not disappoint most but won’t wow anyone either.
