Fabulous Pfeiffer Vinyard grapes masterfully made by KE’s winemaker. Wonderful full bodied complex Oregon PN. I wish I had a lot more. Can age a few years more.

Stored in cooler and opened cold. Little nose or flavor on opening. As it warmed toward cellar temp it opened, presented a buttery elegant flavor with a touch of oak. Great with fish dinner. Great example of aged Chard. I think good in the cellar for several more years.

Delicious, intense, balanced on opening. Maintained throughout our meal. A bit too dry for the chocolate pudding, not the wine’s fault. Very ready to enjoy now or in a few years.

For the last fast of Advent I wanted a PN that goes with salmon raviolis with Alfredo sauce. This wine was fantastic. Balanced, light but with a complete range of flavors. Most enjoyable. The fruity cloying flavors for which this vintage is known are long gone leaving a great balanced wonderful wine.

Oregon Pinot Noir is grossly underrated. Others think this wine should have been consumed 6 years or more ago. I have found that well made Oregon Pinot Noir is often still developing at its “end” date. I would not want to keep this wine a lot longer past now, but it would not surprise me if someone opens a bottle in a decade and has a similar opinion then to mine today.

On opening, wonderfully delicious. Except for the date, I would have thought it was younger. Great complex exemplar of Washington’s great Red blends, great claret style. Opens well. Delicious with a tomato and meatloaf casserole. I think this one is good for a few more years

First nose was nonexistent Thin uninteresting taste. Decanted for 90 minutes. Wine improved immensely and showed as a light but quite drinkable Bordeaux Red. It could be bottle variance, but if this one is typical it is time to drink up in a context allowing for decanting time and requiring a light red. Quite delicious for what it actually is. I will open another soon to make comparisons and enjoy with a meal that the wine can handle.

The low fill and built up detritus under the cap concerned me, but the wine was fabulous on opening. Great depth and balance, excellent fruit. Delicious as an after dinner drink. Sweet but not cloying. Thurourghly enjoyable. This is the highest rating I have ever given a wine that should have been a flawed bottle given the appearance before extracting the entirely wine soaked cork.

This is one of the most delicious Washington Cabs I have had the great pleasure of drinking. The wine was excellent on opening except for a strong tannin finish. As it opened, that was balanced by excellent fruit and complexity of great C.S. Drunk with an excellent lamb chop dinner it was exactly the right choice. We have a bit more and expect it will continue to be wonderful for several more years, but do not forget you have it!

On opening this PN showed a strong tannin bitterness aftertaste with little fruit. Within 30 minutes it opened in the glass to show a well balanced complexity I have come to expect from a very good Oregon PN. It is possible I had an exceptional bottle. I think more likely, we simply drink some too young.

Half of the bottle was decanted into a half bottle, stoppered and refrigerated. Three days later it was still wonderful. I wish I had more. Sigh.

For a wine designed to drink a couple of years after bottling, it is very good. Light but appropriate PN nose, balanced on opening. Well made, light PN. Delicious.

30 minutes later, still good balance and more characteristic PN flavor.

My experience is that many underestimate the life potential of Oregon PN. This 2007 is a well made, well aged example.

Delicious balanced Chard with excellent varietal flavor and nose. The wine opened in about 30 minutes. The last half kept well in the refrigerator for three day. On the third day, more characteristic spice is evident without any loss of balance or flavor. I think this wine is a good hold for several more years, but I predict it will not last that long in my house.

Very intense and sour on opening. Over two hours this CS developed great complexity, wonderful CS characteristics with intense and long lasting complex fruit, with soft tannin. Great with lamb chops and chocolate chip cookies. The second half bottle tomorrow. We shall see.

Excellent PN. Opened to balanced fruit/tannin in 20 minutes. Delicious. I left a half glass on the counter by accident. It was even better 24 hours later, rounder, more complex. I drank that first the second day! It should be good for a while longer, but it will not last in my cellar.
