Very nice burgundy. Earthy with good underlying fruit and concentration. Still has good tannic structure but very delicious and complex with a bit of air now.

My experience is similar to other recent tasters. The wine is clean and expressive. Complex bouquet that others describe better than I can. Mid palate is bit thin but finish persists well with some grainy tannins evident. Very interesting and enjoyable wine even if it doesn’t live up to Parker’s early assessment.

As this wine opens it shows both a steeliness with some underlying minerality. A bit reminiscent of a mini Puligny.

Fine grained tannins create a sense of elegance. The nose is developing some secondary aromas. Body is lighter than I would like with a lack of concentration in a somewhat thin acidic finish. Good wine but I’d like more at this price point.

Fairly concentrated. Lots of tart cherry fruit with tannic overtones. Decent length. Not as elegant as someTurleys but I’m not pouring any out either!

A good dose of fruit and some aggressive tannins similar to mountain cabs in Napa. Fairly good concentration and length. Good now and at least five years.

A bit softer and sweeter than many Turley zins. Delicious of course but not my favorite.

A lush and delicious Cabernet with an entry of sweet oak backed by fine tannins and a long finish. Enjoyable already but a few years should help this integrate its oak better.

A bit of heat from alcohol which takes away from nuances of flavor. A nice big spicy zin but not my favorite Carlisle

Already enjoyable and true to type. If you’ve had other Turley Juveniles you won’t be surprised or disappointed.

Not quite as fresh tasting as some Juveniles. Seems maybe to be a bit low in acidity but maybe it just needs six months. Still a very good zin.

Very Mersault-like. Fairly rich and forward, good length. Rounded and mature fruit with enough acid backing to carry it to an elegant finish.

Full bodied cab lacking definition and needing time to absorb the obvious oak. Plenty of fruit there. Hoping a couple of years help.

We detected some corkiness or otherwise off putting aroma in the nose. However, the wealth of fruit made it a still good drink with steak. Plenty of tannin so if there are uncorked bottles around they may drink well for quite a few years.

Maybe a bit young? Slightly stemmy note with daa as to fruits. Not quite in balance but perhaps six more months will help. Still delicious anyway.

Very tipe and concentrated fruit with a bit of overripeness. Good structure for its size but I agree it’s missing some of the acid zip that helps make this wine stand out.p

I love the intensity and depth of this wine. One negative is the alcohol tends to be a bit obtrusive. I spent further age won’t help.

This wine was quite good though I hoped for more. Opened up during an hour decant with nicely balanced dark cherry fruit, spices and structure. It was missing that extra dimension of complexity found occasionally in fine burgundy. Still lovely poised and balanced.

This seems fairly mature now. Intense cherry lozenge fruit with good structure to carry it. The creaminess of the fruit seems like old vines. Almost reminiscent of a new world Cabernet in style and flavor profile.

With two hours in decanter this full bodied tannic wine shows good balance of fruit with tannins that very much have a rustic edge like classic Cornas. Fruit might start fading, since I don’t think the amount of air helped it.

Deep plummy nose. Tons of size and concentration on the palate with pronounced mineral and chalk notes. Huge but balanced and while there is a hint of over ripeness, it is backed up by great acid structure for balance.

A very concentrated red that is very terroir forward, not as common in California. Interesting notes of mint, herbs, underbrush with tannins that soften with a bit of air. Best with food, and worked well with a ribeye.

Deeply concentrated dark cherry fruit with spice notes. Alcohol shows and it’s not as light on its feet as more traditional PN.
