Complex and delicious, I recall someone saying it is like, "Sunshine in a glass," and I couldn't agree more. Flavors of candied orange, apricot, walnuts, toffee, salted caramel, and nectarines. Beautiful aromas of dries apricots, figs, dates, and orange zest. Seriously, there is so much going on with this wine I could talk about it for years. Go buy a bottle, no, go buy many bottles to enjoy over the years.

On the nose, black fruit, a little anise, and leather. Very flavorful and tannic with rich blueberry and blackberry, plum, and tea. This Bandol is drinking beautifully, given the amount of tannins it could age at least 4 more years. With that said, don't feel guilty enjoying it now!

Bethel Heights makes wonderful wines and their Gewurztraminers are no exception. Very aromatic; tropical fruits, rose, spice, and ripe banana. More fruit, banana and spice on the palette, off-dry to dry with a long finish. I've had the 2007, 2008, and now the 2009, none of which disappoint.

Tasted the Cowhouse over a year ago and enjoyed it enough to purchase a bottle. This time around first few tastes were very acidic, when the acid mellowed there was a good deal of oak. Disjointed and disappointing but worked with a triple cream.

Lemon and floral aromas. Dry and chalky with flavors of lemon meringue, melon and citrus. Although there were hints of fruit it's more Old World style with lots of minerality. An excellent and refreshing wine for summer.

Aromas of brown sugar, citrus with some yeast. On the palette yeast, lemon peel, lime, and some spice on the end. Medium to long finish. Delicious, but the bubbles seemed short lived. Lack of Champagne flutes may have been a contributing factor.

After reading reviews about this hyped up value red blend out of Washington, I was very anxious to give it a try, honestly, I was a bit disappointed. On the nose, I immediately smelled sweet oak, which I most of the time loathe on a wine. The palette revealed more sweet oak, black fruits, and a strange finish. I believe one member described it as metallic, and that's pretty on point. I revisited the wine the next day and liked it better but wasn't blown away. To be fair, it may need more time in the bottle.

This is a big Pinot Noir. The nose was full of black-currant, leather, oak, spice, and when first poured dried leaves. Moderate tannins and acidity, black fruits, spice, and a little sweet oak on the palette. This is not the type of Pinot I usually go for but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The Meomi is a Pinot for those who say they don't like Pinots.

This off-dry Vouvray was very light and neutral on the nose but did have some citrus notes. Very flavorful palette with white peach, tropical fruits, and nice minerality. Good buy at $12.99 and went excellent with Irish White Cheddar.

So this wine was a total surprise, let me explain. I tried the Souverain Cab a few years back and was not impressed. At the time it was way too oaky for my liking. I decided to revisit this wine with a friend, who like myself had tried it a few years ago and was equally unimpressed. I brown bagged it and made her blind taste. Her initial reaction was old world! The oak was gone and what was left was cherry, some dark fruit, spice, and great acidity. It went perfect with the espresso dark chocolate she brought over. Needless to say, she was shocked when I showed her the bottle, as we had dismissed it just a few years before. This wine is drinking lovely now, and I am so glad I gave it another chance and few years, it was worth the wait.

I have to agree with some of the previous reviews. My cork was crumbly and yes this Pinot is showing it's age, in that MOST of the fruit has worn off. What is left is earth and spice, but I enjoyed it, and it went marvelously with my mushroom and goat cheese focaccia. Initially, on the nose I smelled some red fruits, spice, and a little dried violet. Vibrant acidity on the palette with again, mild red fruits and spice coupled with cedar, coco, and a hint of dried cranberry. Long finish with lingering acidity. A great Pinot but it's fading, so drink up and if you can, enjoy it with some mushrooms!
