Decanted for 10 minutes, nice color, smoke tobacco, dark fruits, and spice. In the mouth velvety sour apple with strong oak finish. I picked 6 bottles for 25 buck's great QPR. Will go great with a fettuccine Alfredo or a creamy sauce.

6L Imperial bottle There was nothing special here the wine was at the end of the road. Even though the wine was not at its finest you can’t go wrong when you show up to a party with a 6L bottle of wine :)

PNP at the begging the wine was shut down it needed a bit of time, I think a 1 decant would have serve this wine well. After about 30 minutes the wine started to come to life and reveled some oaky coffee tobacco notes with dark fruits. Nice ruby color with a silky polish finish a bit of sour apple at the end. Very nice wine!

Wine has not done much since my last encounter 7/14/2013. This modern style specimen is built for the long haul. It has a big in your face grapey juicy, oak, vanilla, and cherry's, that says hello I'm hear. If you have the patience to wait for a couple of years this might be a wine worth investing on. In any event its still very nice right now. I will suggest to enjoy it with food or cheese not on its own.

LLC was opened 5 hours before consumption. Side by side with Pichon Baron 1999 that was opened 1 hour prior to consumption. Started with the Baron and boom the nose was there lovely as ever ready to go welcoming to drink this splendid juice. This bottle at the very end had a bit of sour apple and felt a bit more evolved then the previous 2 bottles on 6/17/2012 & 5/20/2013. I give the baron 93. One thing that is important here is the price. The Baron is around $100 and the LLC $200+ The LLC nose was a bit muted, this wine has been in a shut down mode for at least 10 years I remember one of my friends complaining about when is it ever going to be ready to enjoy the long wait. What did not offer on the nose made it up on the pallet very concentrated, tannic cab with a strong presence of spices would of liked to see a bit more fruit could have had a better score in my humble opinion. Was the LLC better than the baron, yes, was it mind blowing better, no. Is it worth shelling out twice as much for it? That is up to you fine wine brother's to decide, enjoy!!!

My 36th Birthday lunch after a flight of 72/80/81 Lafite and 71/85/86 Latour we decided to change the pace and started with the Haut Brions. 59/99/02. Drinking great at this stage Tobacco, wood spices, moss, and cherries. The 59 is on a class of its own magical specimen that could not be compared to the 99 and 02. I would say that the 99 it far better wine at this stage than the 02 that its very tight and not willing to give.

Much better than the last bottle I had last year. Felt more approachable and willing to make a better showing. Haut Brion are tough wines built to last and I have never had much luck with them, little smoke wood, tobacco and graphite. I'm not sure how this is going to turn out but maybe " 7/20/2013 Papies" is right and in 5 years or so it will come around. I would invest my money in something else or at least another vintage, Salud!!!

Another South American top wine notes are consistent with the other 2 previous bottles 4/12/2012 & 7/14/2013 last one on the cellar. It is a super effort from Rothschild & Concha y Toro venture, definitely raised the bar for South America wine making.

In my opinion one of the best South American wine out there. It's rich full of personality, it stands out and I really like that. The only issue with this wine is that at this 80 / 90 dollar mark has some very stiff competition. This would be an excellent option at the 50 dollar range enjoy!

I agree with "rmodak" note on this wine. It' licorice with a fruit driven core, it's good but nothing special here guy's. Alvaro Palacios is a very talented wine maker since I tried the 2005 Dofi it would be hard for the other vintages to measure up. The 2005 Dofi it's the bomb!!!

Decanted for 2 hours with my new mamba decanter. The wine feels a bit disjointed and acid, needs patience and celler time. In my opinion patience and celler time are two very difficult attributes to master. I will stay away from this wine if you are not willing to lay them down at least 5 years.
