What a delightful wine still drinking well after 14 years. Right from the start the wine was balanced and no funky smells or tannins. Nice red fruit and opened up nicely after 20 minutes. Wish I still had one more in the cellar.

Amazed how well this 2009 has held up even drinking in 2022. Enjoyed every sip. Cork still solid unlike some of my other bottles from other wineries from 08/09 I’ve been working through. Needs some air but still so balanced and a classic WV Pinot.

Have 2 left in the cellar so wanted to see where it is at after 12 years in the bottle. Still had nice clear color with tinge of brown at edge. Silky and well balanced at first sip with lots of red cherry, pomegranate and a little tobacco finish. Gave it some time to open up and the light tannins came through. This wine still has some legs left and is quite enjoyable.

Found this deep in the cellar and it is still holding up well for a 12 year old Pinot. A little past prime but still well balanced with dark fruits of black berry, and a plum finish and some spice. I don’t get the cherry other tasting notes talked about. Took awhile to open up and my cellar was a bit chilly so once wine warmed up, it changed nicely in the glass. Still has some sulfur on nose but this blows off. Time to drink up the rest.

Very well balanced and opened up nicely after 15 minutes. Nice red fruit with a little tobacco on the finish. Paired excellent with baked salmon for dinner.

Took 20 mins to open up and blow off some of the funk but it was still an amazing bottle of wine and paired with the salmon perfectly. This one aged well.

13 year old Pinot so I was skeptical. Little past it’s prime but with some time and air this opened up to be another amazing Patty Green Pinot (RIP). Red fruits, plum, red licorice all paired well with our salmon dinner.

Still drinking really well. Needed sometime to blow off the Dundee Hills sulfur but after 30 mins it was fabulous with great balance.

Agree this wine is past it's prime but still very drinkable and paired fabulously with plank salmon. Still well balanced and an excellent Pinot. Needs some air to open up after 30 minutes.

Still drinking at amazing level. Took a little while to open up but it just got better. Wish I had more in stock.

Started out flat. Venturi brought out cherry and tobacco with waxy chemical smell on nose. It did open up nicely after 30 mins to a well balanced, medium Cab which went well with our steaks for Valentines Day.

Wasn't as good as the 2006 and maybe was past its prime but still a very nice Syrah. It had heavy, dark fruit and plum with a pepper finish. Bit meaty on the palate but went great with the steaks we had.

Still an amazing wine. Didn't need to decant. Big, dark fruit, classic pepper finish, nicely balanced. Was lighter than the 2005 we drank at same time.

A bit out of its drinking window but still very enjoyable. Tight out of the bottle with a little sulphur but this blew off in 15 min. Opens up with classic Willamette Valley red fruits, currants, hint of vanilla, and touch of spice on finish. Nice ruby color. Glad we celebrated Memorial Day weekend with this fine wine.

This wine is still drinking well. Took about 30 minutes to open up. The tannins were well balanced and was a very smooth drinking Syrah. We had it with steaks and the wine held its own quite nicely. I wish I had more in the cellar. I do believe this was the last year they made the Syrah.

This wine has aged well for a Pinot but should be drank soon. Needs to be decanted or we ran it through a Venturi to open it up. Subtle nose of vanilla and tobacco. Bit hot on the tongue but the red fruit, vanilla, and grassy finish still is enjoyable and fairly well balanced, not big.

This wine wasn't as hot as it use to be but definitely is on its last legs of drink ability. Needed to venturi this twice to really open it up after opening the bottle. Okay wine with food but this needs to be drank now.

Wine is drinking well now. Took about 30 mins to open up. Nice, light Pinot, with more red fruits than classic blackberry. Would pair this with a light meal or salmon. The pasta dish we had with this was almost too heavy for this wine. Still a lovely Pinot that is well balanced and still has some time in the bottle.

This one has lost a bit of it's balance and fruit. Still pretty hot after opening. Needed to be venturi to smooth it out and open up. Should be drank this year (2013).

Still drinking well but on it's last legs. Took awhile for the sulphur smell to blow off. Venturi helped but it takes a good 30 minutes for wine to open up.

This wine is way past it's prime. 2006 was such a great year. Needed to venturi this wine just to open it up enough to start drinking it. Throwing off barnyard and grass on the nose. Fair amount of metalic and tobacco on the tongue. Took the dark fruit awhile to show up. I guess I better drink up my other bottles soon.

Really maturing well and is still getting better but needs more time. Takes about 30 min to open up or used venturi to move it along. Really enjoyed as a drinking wine with nice red fruit (cherry) and hints of oak. Need to wait at least another year.

Needs time to open up. I think this wine has peaked and perhaps is heading on the downside. Still nicely balanced but seemed a bit flat from previously bottles drank of this vintage.

Almost let this one get away from me in the drinking window but still an incredible Pinot. Took at least 45 min to open up but also worked well with venturi to begin enjoying. Still lots of dark fruit, currants, chocolate with deep, dark color and texture. Very meaty for a Pinot. Really enjoyed this wine even this late into it's drinking window. Wish I had more. I wish I did a vertical tasting with the 2004 that is still in cellar. That will be next on the list.

At end of drinking window and shows it. Still good color and wonderful dark cherry and earthy tones on the nose. Tannins and acid well balanced. Needs time to open. Vinturi helped open up with blackberry, cherry, chocolate and some nice spice on the finish. Very nice Pinot but drink em if you got em.

Lot of sulphur and alcohol on the nose at first. Needs time to blow off and open up. Still decent raspberry and currant on palate. Venturi helped open up. Brought out the blueberry and oak with a bit of tingle on the tongue. This wine is past its peak but still enjoyable.

I feel this wine is at the end of it's drinking window. It took awhile to open up with a smooth balance of blackberry, currant and a bit of smoke on the finish. Pouring thru the venturi helped. Wasn't big enough like other WV pinots to go with steak I had but was still enjoyable. Wine wasn't as good 2nd day. Faded quite a bit. Time to drink them up.

I still rate this as a very nicely balanced pinot. It has aged well and even though it shows it is near the end of it's drinking window, it still has some legs in it. Has red fruit and currant with a nice oak finish and a bit of tobaco. Wish I had more in stock.

This wine does need some time to open up. Not much of a nose but there is the classic red fruit and vanilla nose. Nice light Pinot and well balanced. As other mentioned, needs air or venturi to take edgy finish off.

Pretty light and uninteresting. Too much cherry. Other years were better. Stick with even number years of Willamette Valley wines. 2008 should be better I hope.

Tasted at winery. Managed to get a few of the remaining bottles left. This block was replanted so this is the end. Very nice balance of dark fruit, vanilla and earthy tones. Finish still had some lingering rough tannins on finish. Needs another year or two.

Tried at winery. Much darker fruit than 2007. Nice balance but a bit heavy on oak. Needs some time. Dick Shea told me that 2008 and 2009 are perhaps the best years for pinot since 2004 for the Willamette Valley.

Nice dark, rich color. Picked up strawberry and vanilla off the nose at first. A little tight upon opening but the balance was pleasant. Good taste of black cherry, vanilla and currants but the finish was a little rough with a little bit of tar lingering. Give it some air for at least 20 min but not too long as it fades away.

Time to try this again. Upon opening a lot of sulphur on nose. Pretty tight. Needs to breath at least 30 mins. Earthy with dark fruits of blackberry and currants with a bit of chocolate finish. Tannins are nice and mellow.
I think wine is near the end of it's drinking window. Went well with salmon dinner.

Really surprised by how much I liked this wine. Great value. Medium body, restrained fruit but classic cab style with earthy nose, plum and cassis flavors with a good oak (vanilla) and cocoa finish. Tannins are well behaved and not in your face like young cabs can be. Very drinkable now but could improve with a little more time.

Had with dinner in Portland Restaurant with steak and duck. I remember trying this at tasting room in Carlton. Like it even better now. Great nose of vanilla and raspberry. Nice balance in fruit. Nice fruit foward and a little pepper and plum finishj. Blend of cab, cab franc, malbec and merlot. Tannins mellow after 20 min. Need to buy some.
