Good right out of the bottle. Slight grippy tannins that softened with time. Medium weight, don’t see it getting a lot better.

Much better the second night. Has the stuffing to go a long way. A little hot at 15%.

Plenty of life left. Not as complex as Alta wines but still a great rioja.

A little thinner on palate than I would have expected. Otherwise a nice aged rioja with all the typical characteristics you would expect.

Opened two bottles. Both got much better with time. One flattened out after 8 hrs and the other was best the next day. Both gained weight, complexity, and fruit with time. Please be patient and decant these for at least 8 hrs or better yet slow ox overnight in the bottle.

palate of raspberry, tart cranberry, and loads of acidity. a little barnyard on the nose and finish but nothing overpowering.

what a surprise! best bottle to date. smooth, integrated tannins, a slight lift of acidity straight out of the bottle that faded over time. long finish, not heavy, what one wants in an aged cab.

needs 30 mins to come to life, complex, a little funk, fades after a few hours so drink quickly

med + palate, a hint of meat and funk on the palate keeps this interesting. Should improve somewhat with another year but drinking great now.

medium+weight, dark fruit with some bell pepper, tannins still present. I think this will improve with another year in the bottle.

4 hour slow ox. Great spot right now. Enough weight and tannins to hold up to steak dinner. Smooth, medium + weight.

Smooth dark fruit profile. Not a lot of complexity but a good east drinking wine that doesn't need food.

Nice blend of traditional and modern Rioja but leaning more traditional. Medium weight, some dill and tobacco on palate and nose. Not made for long cellaring. Went well with smoked ribs

Perhaps an off bottle as there was a considerable amount of heat on the finish. I haven't experienced that before with this wine. Otherwise a nice red fruit pinot with a round mid palate.

Tart red fruit, medium weight, more old world flavor profile than I expected. Not your typical Cali Pinot. Me like
