Lovely cab franc that is enjoyable now but it was really singing on day 2. Should really improve with time.

Clearly needing a few more years of cellar time but already hinting at its potential. Beautiful nose that is very characteristic of St Julien - cassis, cedar, blackberry, thyme. Lovely earthy quality to this wine. Can't wait to try again in 5 years. Some 2005's seem to be getting a little more approachable while others still seem closed for business. This wine is getting close to being ready. 93+

Lovely earthy aromas of forest floor and mushrooms. Very pretty wine but really needed a few hours in decanter before this started blossoming. Last sip was the best sip. I would give this a full 3hours minimum of decant next time, or just open the bottle in the morning and slow-ox. This is in a very good place right now with air, but definitely not rush to drink up.

Big step up from the 2010 Saumur-Champigny. This is youthful and vibrant. Really lovely complete wine. Drank at Yam'tcha

This probably needs a few more years to fully integrate. Needed a bit of air for the oak to fade to the background.

A little jammy on the nose but the palate didn't jump out as sweet or Aussie shiraz right away, refined and delicious. It almost felt old world (France) in a warm vintage. Very good.

Very good, surprisingly open right now. Accessible but it really needs a few more years to shine. Maybe the vintage is what is making these wines open for business now

Drinking really well right now. Oak is nicely integrated and has migrated to the background. Really nice soft velvety mouthfeel. Long finish. It tastes like a 10 year old Tig, no surprises here and very representative of what you would expect of a Tignanello. I think this will really start to shine with a few more years of age. Will try the next one in 2023.

This is getting better and better. I think the 2004’s might be the most underrated vintage of the 2000s. I just wish the pricing were still like the 2004’s!

At peak right now but should hold for a few more years. The nose of this was fantastic. Good mouthfeel and depth on the palate. This is why I like to cellar wines. Perfectly aged and held its own next a 2004 Leoville Barton.

In such a good spot right now. Much improved from 2017. 2009 Barolo have been great lately. Definitely an early drinking vintage and drinking really well right now. This hasn’t quite peaked yet and will likely improve a little more but it’s so good right now that they are hard to resist.

Absolutely fantastic for a "lowly" Bourgogne rouge. This really is a benchmark classic for this level. Would put many Village wines to shame. Could really use a few years of age to really shine.

I popped one of these after reading all the notes about how it is open for business. I dont disagree with that, but I think this really could benefit from a few more years. Felt very straight forward and primary and drank well, but I think some more nuance will really benefit this wine. This felt a little modern, but very respectful of traditional as well. Really nice happy medium. Will be great in a few more years

Really well made California pinot. I wish more new world pinot's were done in this style. Not quite reserved but definitely a tempered approach with plenty of elegance yet still highlighting the ripe fruit character

Really wish I waited until now to start drinking my ‘04s. This bottle was fantastic. Everything was perfectly integrated. You could tell from the nose alone that this will be special. I can’t see this getting much better as it’s drinking so well now. Will hang on for a long time. No rush
