Wow, even I thought this would be past prime..WRONG.

Brick color, edar notes, but not old by any means. If you have one, try it. It's stunning.

Grainning weight, supplte spicy fuit, zippy cherry notes.

Better then I had remembered...age in the bottle has helped.

This is a beautiful property if anyone has the chance to visit. Wow. Tons of money has been invested to produce top quality wines and do so with minimal stress to the grapes/wine.

Stunningly tight even after 2 hours in a duck decanter. It appeared out of its shelf within the glass, notes of dark fruits, not overly ripe, yet youthful and no notes of dried fruits.
Tanins are present, yet air helps tem intigrate well.
This wine needs 2 hours at the least to open up, we drank it over 2 hours and still was holding on quite well...

Took a few minutes to open up, the oak was dominate in the first 5 minutes, but then rounded out, minerality apperred and the complexity of the bright citrus and floral fruit appeared. Great wine....

No butter on this....unlike the previous note. Very minerally, though not over the top. Great balance with acidity that holds up over a couple of nights.
Very enjoyable bottle, great wih food.

Dried fruit notes, not bad. Supple and smooth, rich without loads of tannin. Little if no sediment either.
Enjoyable, but drink up soon.

WOW....this is spectacular. The nose changes from a touch of butter cream to crisp lemon citrus. Great length, awesome nose, all around a fantastic wine.
I have met Jean Marie and his wine style is uncompromising, as is his personality.
Worth every penny!!!

Drank this wine too young. Did have notes of apples, honey and a touch a cinnamon. I beleive this wine will be even more stunning in 2-3 years.
This is a great producer that no one should ignore, even the Macon wines are fabulous.

The cork had signs of seapage, not corked, but having drunk 5 other bottles, this was a sign of what the wine would be with aging. The wine was not corked, just very mature for where it should have been.
Enjoyable but not true to fashion here.

Very smooth right out of the bottle. It has slight taste profile of Northern Rhone syrah. Not over the top, though it is a very rich syrah. Time will be very kind to this bottle and I will enjoy the other 2 I purchased.

Dang...wow...awesome bottle here. This just a macon wine? Tastes like a $$$ Pouilly Fuisse. Touch of honey, aplle and with a bright finish. Great acidity that will help this wine age for a long time. If anyone reads this and seeks are great white burgundy...seek it out. I plan on builng 6-12 bottles. This can only get better, much better.
BUY BUY BUY.....

Firm wine, still young with tart cherry flavors. This is more suitable to drink with food.

Young with a good life ahead of it. Easily 3-5 years. More time will bring out the possibilities.

Thin, no weight to this wine. Very, very disappointed. I can get 3 spanish bottles of wine for $15 and get more value from it. Dark in color with a not so distinct nose.
Crappy.
I should have concidered where I bought it, they ar not know for having "cutting edge" high quality wines.

Bordeaux nose with lush and full texture on the palate. Great right out of the bottle with no decanting. Supurb nose and drinks better than most reviews on this wine. Not overly complex but it still is heads above most California producers from this vintage.
Excellent drinker right now.

I agree, dominate oak, but after 20 minutes in the glass the oak intigrated well and more citrus arose. Everyone loved it.
Drink it up, Kistler Chards last longer than most people believ, but this one was not going to live too much longer without giving up its flavor!

I would consume now or over 1-3 years.

This wine has alot of oak on it. It needed a good 30 minutes to blow off and intigrate better into the wine itself. There is some nice tropical and honey flavors in the wine that will shine in a few years. I would recommend some one cellaring this for 2 years or let stand open for a day to let the wine show better.
Bought this at Costco for $32 and I have seen it at other shop for $40+. Not a bad deal...
My score could go up if I taste this in a few years....

Tightly wound, took over an hour in a decantor to open up plus time in the glass. Once it did the wine showed beautifully. Still young give it3-4 years more to mature. Structured ut smooth and silky tannins. Cedar, a touch of menthol on the nose, dark fruits. Very well made. I will seek out more to add to my collection. Worth buying, but hold for the future.

If anyone cannot like this wine they should stay away from French Burgundy.... they just do not get it!!!
