4/13/24, 6:31 AM - I enjoyed your review and found it helpful in understanding the wide variation of community scores.
4/13/24, 6:26 AM - I enjoyed reading your comments. They were spot on. Glad to know there is a similar palate on the other side of the Pacific. (I did have to translate it since I don't know Korean).
3/23/24, 8:32 AM - Agreed Jonnhy99. All in all a solid showing by Hobbs
2/17/24, 11:11 AM - Spot on
12/24/23, 10:31 AM - Agree SMZ. While I am not a huge US Pinot fan, I always enjoy Williams Salyem, and this bottle was no exception.
11/20/23, 4:11 PM - Ditto - except I had never had this wine before. Not being a big Pinot drinker, I deferred to someone who is and took their recommendation. Glad I did and now am buying more.
8/11/23, 5:26 AM - Agelvis: Thanks for sharing your note on this. It is one of my favorite cabs from the Oakville AVA district. I had already picked up a few bottles of these prior to reading your impressions on this vintage, Although you appear concerned about its future, for my personal benefit I hope you are incorrect about the "not so nice notes appearing more strongly in a year or two." At your 93 rating I'm guessing its still a keeper, although you are not adding it to your cellar. I'll post an update with my impressions when I give this a try, but I have this down for a hold for a while. Perhaps I'll have a tase in advance with the Corovin.
8/3/23, 12:50 PM - DuckfaninMT: Thanks for your comment and question. Frank Family Cab is a personal favorite. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
7/2/23, 10:20 AM - Spot on assessment. Still too early to drink
6/16/23, 4:45 PM - Thank you Eric. What an amazing milestone - 10 Million notes later. Thank you for starting this site 28 years ago and its development into the most versatile App for every day wine drinkers and an industry leader. Mazel Tov. Keep up the amazing work!
6/16/23, 4:34 PM - Agree with your assessment. A personal favorite at a decent QPR.
2/12/23, 6:48 PM - More important - what was the name of the steakhouse? Not impressed and based on the back story I'm not inclined to visit it. The Neal Cab on the other hand is fairly solid and reliable, but i cam appreciate that the backstory did not lend itself to be a positive experience.
10/15/22, 7:36 PM - SF - Quite a long, but spot on review for what I like to refer to as a "PNP Crowd Pleaser" for the as you denote the "I'll have 'something red" wine drinker. A good reminder to keep a couple of these on hand, since otherwise we're forced to grab something that won't be appreciated from the cellar.
6/26/22, 1:21 PM - Spot on
2/6/22, 1:22 PM - Agree with your assessment.
12/25/21, 8:41 AM - Any fellow EGGer has to have good taste - and yes, an enjoyable afternoon wine
12/25/21, 8:38 AM - I felt the same way!
6/28/21, 6:17 PM - spot on and agree that it is hard to believe that this comes from Washington State.
5/3/21, 1:13 PM - For me, this was past it's prime. Bottle had been well stored since inception, but based on other notes, looks like I'm in the minority. Thanks for asking for the clarification.
3/6/21, 12:23 PM - Spot on
11/26/20, 12:01 PM - Spot on!
11/21/20, 2:28 PM - I had the same experience. I think it was the wine.
12/29/18, 1:44 PM - I'm going to guess this was the regular Stag's Leap - not the Cask 23 based on your price point and comment
12/13/18, 6:28 PM - Agreed. This was a brute and needed about 2 hours after decanting to settle down, but worthy of waiting.
2/23/18, 5:37 AM - spot on
9/13/16, 6:46 PM - Thanks. Definitely recommend
