Opened this last night. Had one glass and it was super tight. Tart red cherry. Not very pleasant actually. Stuck the cork in it and put in fridge. Tonight a different wine altogether. This wine has fleshed out , added more depth and brought forward the deeper, darker fruit flavors. Enjoyed with a fine steak which enhanced it even more. Nice surprise after last night. I could be blamed for impatience!

Wow, two nights in a row of surprisingly good wines that, according to critics, were past their prime. Still dark in colour with slight bricking on the edges. Beautiful floral nose. Spicy black fruits with a touch of sous bois. Yum yum. Paired well with a perfectly cooked veal chop.

I'm down to the last two bottles of this and this one is my favorite. A few others before this I thought were leaning out but this wine is singing. Wonderful combination of dark, but still lots of red, fruits. Matched incredibly well with roasted chicken, brown mushroom gravy, duck fat pan roasted mini potatoes cut in quarters, slightly spicy bean salad. I'm fairly sure the food enhanced the wine. Wish I had more in my glass and in my cellar! Aren't we lucky.
