Was pretty disappointed in this bottle. Very flat and uninteresting. Nothing wrong just not noteworthy. Too much wine to drink something this unremarkable.

Very good and balanced. Nice as earthy and barnyard as the 2006 right now. Tannins were well integrated and this was very food friendly. Not a power house but was a perfect compliment to a good steak

Mike Smith plus Andy Beckstoffer fruit, wow. What can I say? It’s lush and a mouthful of flavor. Hard not to like. Complex, round and great finish

5/4/18, 10:48 AM - I did not decant, but I had poured it into a very very large Zalto Bordeaux glass and let it sit for about 1.5-2 hours. So it was pretty close to a formal decant.

This was good but in comparison to the Paul Hobbs ToKalon and the 2007 Quicelda Creek it was a clear 3rd place.

Dark red in color. A classic Bordeaux nose deep stealy scent with hints of barnyard and black fruit. On the palate it's a big tannic wine, tannins are starting to integrate but still there very good Blac fruit with hints of spice. Finish is moderate. It's ready to drink but will age 4-5 more years

4/13/16, 6:05 AM - I like them a bit on the tannic side, but I noted that the tannins are starting to integrate and that while its ready to drink now it will develop over the next 4-5 years... If you want no tannin at all I would hold on to it for 4-5 more years
