I had a very unfortunate run with my last two bottles of this wine. One was corked and the second had a very distinct musty flavor to it. Obviously brett but not in a good way. Sometimes that’s the way wine collecting goes.

A very impressive wine from napa. Classically styled very smooth and round except for a slightly Tanic/dusty finish. Unfortunately I do not think that we’d decanted long enough (30-40 min) but we were at a restaurant. I’m glad I have an additional bottle because I would love to sit with this wine for several hours as it unwinds.

A very well-made sparkling wine. I love 100% Pinot Noir and Rosé makes it special with just a tinge of fruit. Honestly Oregon sparklers are hit or miss for me but this one is definitely a hit. Look for if you’re ever in Oregon.

High in acid and a bit yeasty for my taste but well made. Perhaps an off vintage.

A very clean and crisp mouth feel without any hard edges. Extremely well-made and blended. An excellent value for the category.

My first experience with any Peter Michael Chardonnay. Amazingly viscous and delicious. I wonderful interplay between the fruit and the barrel fermented flavors. In a word salubrious.

Very well made and balanced. It threads the needle of a style that in my opinion can become a bit too prune like. This wine is a Valpolicella with structure and freshness. It is drinking extremely well now.

So 35 months in (50% Virginia 50% Pennsylvania) oak is the major defining characteristic of this wine. If you tasted this blind you would have a hard time picking out the variety. If you are a fan of big oaky reductive wines this is for you. If this description is making you thirsty you should also seek out the “The Signature” that is a Petite Syrah aged for 35-40 months is 100% new American oak. It is an experiment in wine making.

Had at the Scottsdale tasting room. To be honest it was brown and looked as if it had been exposed to heat. Tasted more like a nutty sherry. To me I found it hard to believe they were pouring this wine considering the condition of the vintage.

Spectacular wine from Illinois! But seriously nothing to write home about and probably just private label juice from a major winery.

Undoubtedly well-made with chewy tannins and ripe fruit. Lighter in body than I would’ve expected for the producer however the finish was long. In stages it did feel that it showed reductive qualities. Overall a good wine but at least at this stage not great, considering the lineage.

A very solid Barbera. Bright fruit and acidity with a light palate weight. Food flexible. Great by the glass at a restaurant or with a Tuesday dinner.

This wine needs a lot of air to open up. When it does it is a very serviceable food wine with basic Bordeaux flavors. Drink and enjoy.

I was introduced at my local wine shop to this wine after a conversation about unique wines with age. I will state the obvious, this is my first Crovino. Very dark purple color And the somewhat youthful nose considering it's age. Very pleasant mouth feel with mild acidity. The flavors reminded me a bit of a Barbara. Not sure if this is typical of the grape and/or producer but I enjoyed it.

Just a lovely wine. At this stage it has impressive balance between the acid and the sweetness. Lovely tangy apricots and honey with subtle notes of petrol.

Honey like color. Oxidized in a good way, sherry like. It tastes like a soft red apple with caramel covered in nuts. No petrol but the acidity is holding. Drink now with your holiday dessert.

Pale yellow in appearance. Not overly fruity. After one hour the wine opened up to reveal a very lovely palate coating sensation framed by acid. For me the taste is like dunking a Meyer lemon in diesel.....in a good way. Intriguing wine made by a very skilled winery. ".... co-fermented blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and a little bit of Sylvaner."

I’ve only had a few bottles from Jura and this is my first Savagnin. The oxidized aged style of this wine produces so many different notes from the traditional wines you will find. It’s hard for me to express all the different flavors in this wine but at times I get a lot of VA that produces a floral quality and almost a maple finish. Certainly this one isn’t for everybody but I would recommend it if you need to be reminded on how amazing wine can be from different regions especially when it’s not produced in the same international style.

A solid nondescript red wine with higher than normal acid. If I was in a restaurant I would order it by the glass but an entire bottle is not that exciting.

The last bottle and it is showing it’s age. The oak has fallen off to the wayside revealing the under ripe fruit making it a little too green for my taste. For a quarter of the price you can get the same profile in a Washington Cabernet.

Beautiful mature fruit with a smooth palate. Lower acid than what I expected. Very enjoyable finish but a bit hot. I can’t say that I have had many older MSR wines in warm vintages but my guess is that this is a drink soon.

Definitely a wine that if you are in Mexico you need to seek out and try. More of an international style. Definitely adequately oaked. However not so overpowering that it dominates the flavor profile. Truly a great example of what the industry has to offer. The only thing I would say is that I would never of guessed this to be a Nebbiolo if served me blind.

Very well executed Tuscan that reminds me why I started collecting Italian wines. Flexible to pair with many different types of foods but also a delicious glass of wine on its own. Always a great change of pace if you’re getting bogged down with a particular region.

A very delicious Sauvignon Blanc blend. Bright fruit almost tropical at times with just a hint of residual sweetness to make it perfect for the start of any occasion with friends. Priced at the low 20s it is a screaming value for the quality of the fruit and the winemaking.

I was very excited to try this wine because I’ve never had anything from Los Angeles County before. While this wine is technically well-made my only concern is that 32 months in French oak has covered up any uniqueness or character leaving it with loads of vanillin and high alcohol. It quotes 15.3% by volume but taste more like 16%+
