Pleasing all the way through with slight tannin undertone. For the price & age, this is a very enjoyable malbec.

My favorite qualities in this style of cabernet. Green vegetal nose, fruit forward palate, medium tannin.

Slightly sweet and fruity in the French Gris style. Wonderful, buttery mouth feel. Clean, un-oaked, stainless steel.

Dense opacity. Moderately bold and tart. Just enough grip/tannin. Fruit throughout, but not jammy. I believe it has held quite well and improved being late on the drinking curve. Enjoyed this wine with steak and pasta.

Late curve. Surprisingly still fruit forward and drinking quite well. Brick. Good density. Overall well balanced if not just slightly tart.

Still retains a healthy fruit-forward presence. Well balanced and enjoyable. Mellow to little tannins and not much oak.

Dark purple/plum. Floral, fruit, vanilla nose. Big, rich, and fleshy in a good way. But unfortunately a little flabby. Not as sicky sweet as I feared from other reviews. Still, at this price point there was a bit of imbalance.

Dense purple color. Complex nose. Fresh. Bold med/med heavy body. Fairly rich in tannins. Long, lingering finish. I'm not a huge malbec fan, this one is pretty good.

Smooth, a little bland. Develops some complexity as it opens. Brick with purple hue. Faint herbaceous/grassy nose (I like). I paid too much at the local WS, but at the average community rate it is a value.

Such a nice balance. Not particularly bold in any respect; subtle. Some greenness, some tannons, some acidity, medium finish. Most impressive I think is the nose. Bell pepper and je ne sais quoi. I was fortunate enough to share this with a friend who let me enjoy more than half the bottle. Was it perfect? In a word, yes. But, I don't spend this much on a bottle of wine when I could buy 3 nearly-perfect bottles of wine at the same cost. I do feel fortunate that I have been invited to experience two bottles of this vintage this year.

Perfect right now. It has lost just a bit of the jaminess, which is good. It is now smooth all the way through.

On the lighter, subtler side of white grapes. Delivers pears and freshness. Nothing overpowering in this wine. Exceptionally well integrated.

Consistently one of my favorite staple wines. Easily as good as wines twice the price. It is a bit mellow but still with some pepper on the finish. Medium to light tannins. Slight oak. Well balanced acids. Fantastic QPR.

Very interesting. On the sweet side, a bit of candied cranberry fizette. A rare change of pace to white wine on a summer evening.

Rather nice for an NV production wine. Oak upfront. Still shows some fruit. Medium to light spice. Good acidic balance. This is my favorite of several varieties of Biltmore Estate NV wines that we purchased when we visited in 2006. I dont see a pure cab franc on their web site anymore, maybe replaced by their Passport blend. Certainly overpriced, but as a flavorful souvenir of the Biltmore Estate experience it was more than passible.
