Warm, full-bodied, soft-ish. Some reduction here. Corn. Not sure if I liked this one.

Sharper, more edgy than 2014. Citrus, some nuts, no florals here, good finish.

Roasted hazelnuts, mild butter, complex and gorgeous. Precise but very elegant acidity. WOTN for me.

Caster sugar, relatively light bodied, beautiful aromatic profile, low alcohol, feminine vintage. Some tartness of rowan berries.

Incense, indian spices, menthol, iron fist in a velvet glove. Complex, what a bomb!

Mild, coffee, lots of smoke and coffee aromas here. Harmonious, caressing, develops note of salami. Gorgeous and WOTN for many.

Milky, soft, a bit smoky. Tartness on the palate, juicy, ripe, same tartness on the finish. With time in the glass the development is brilliant. So very complex and loud. A masterpiece.

More champagne-like than a lot of regular champagnes. Very classic and classy.

Relatively lower acidity than champagne. A bit all over the place, but also complex and interesting indeed.

Caster sugar, fruit peel, concentrated, some green, fresh notes, very high acidity. Lacking on the finish.

Agressive bubbles. Even though it is a classic Champagne blend, it tasted to me of a Sauvignon blanc. Would not buy again for that price.

Somwehat rustic and without oomph. Nice, surely, but not something special that I will be looking to buy more.

Mild, woody, chamomile tea, a bit emptier than mighty 2002 we had before.

Aromatics of champagne and buckwheat, high acidity, very lively and intense unlike the big and plush 2009-2010 Francois Cotat we had alongside. Not as ripe as well. Relatively dense and tense.

Darkish colour, sweetish on the palate, oxidative. Evidently a weaker vintage.

More herbal and typical of Sancerre than 2005 Cotat we had alongside it, which in my book is not a plus. The last vintage of the simpler bottling by Dagueneau.

From magnum it was rather big and plush, mellow, with a bit natural feel to it and quite a lot of apples on the palate.

Edgy, initially somewhat smelly oxidative style and rather lean at it. With time becomes better - there's dill, classic Rioja character, mild and beautiful. Acidity is very high in this one.

Now we are talking! Coffee, mildly creamy palate, smoky, fragrant, zephyr on the nose. Soft herbal note to it, beauty.

Seemed to be somewhat heat damaged, it had a rather dark colour and sharp nose of Oloroso.

Quite ripe, milky and giving. Acidity is high, but tamed. Some heat on the finish. It somehow doesn't seem like Champagne, but not in a bad way, just more rustic may be, but also with a distinct, interesting character.

Clean, nice, easy going, quaffable. A very good showing for this wine which was supposedly made to be frunk early.

A bit too much oak for me. Like a NW Chardonnay with all the pineapple. I remember earlier vintages had more class.

Interesting, tangy, growery, no dosage shows, but it has this interesting caster sugar note to it. Not sure about the price, but overall I quite liked it.

Decant the hell out of it. Tonight it didn't shine probably due to not enough time in the air, also the competition was strong.

Seemed to be somewhat overmature, I knew what to expect, but didn't get it. Or may be we didn't give it enough time in the glass. My experience with younger Musars was better.

Darkish in colour, it was energetic on the palate with biting acidity and almost a feeling of bubbles. The sugar gave it a proper lift, I would drink it with dessert.

It had quite high level of acidity and tannins were still prominent. Lively and representative of what was the old school Zin.
