Unbelievably good. Even at this young age - many say still too young - I think this is drinking pretty wonderfully now. One of the best whites I've ever had

Just stunning. Minerality, nicely weighted with the perfect amount of oak to give this wine real class. If you tasted blind you might say a very decent Meursault. What a lovely wine, will buy more.

Superb. Reminded me of the 100% Mavroudi by Anatolikos. So elegance and incredible value.

This wine is completely closed down currently. You can tell the brooding potential that is there - and one day this wine will be exceptional, no doubt - however this seems to be at least another 10 years until it starts to open up. My suggestion would be to drink 2025-45, and not open any precious bottles just yet.

Stunning. Still a baby but getting better by the week. Will eclipse the 2010 and 2014 and last for 10+ years.

A really thoughtfully made wine by Senor Palacios. Best just below room temp. Already drinking nicely but is bound to improve.

A nice wine, but needs time. Doesn’t seem to be ready yet, only able to appreciate the full flavour with air and just below room temp. Not the high quality quaffer I was expecting.

Superb. Sometimes it's good to overlook the notes saying a wine is over the hill or should've been drunk 5 years ago - this wine is in a beautiful place. Soft, mellow, Cab Franc (at least this grape appears to lead at the stage it is now), velvety and long. Delightful - but maybe for only another two or year or two.

In my opinion this wine from this vintage is at the pinnacle of 1CC Sauternes. Reminds me of the mental notes I made of the 2007 Yquem when I first tasted it but having said that the tastings were some time apart. Value is ridiculous at c£40 per bottle compared with the Yquem. Getting better each time of trying. Just a lovely wine that I should stock up to the rafters.

A good wine. Sweet, syrupy and tropical. If anything a touch cloying for my taste and I’ve got a fairly sweet palate. Very enjoyable though.

Much better than the last bottle. Seems to be just coming into its window now, with velvety tannins and huge mouthfeel. Wish I had more!

Deep, red fruit. Still young and very secondary. A big wine that would benefit from 3-5 more years of cellaring.

This is an exceptional example of an unfortified Commandaria from 85% Xynisteri and 15% Mavro. Fully mature grapes are dried in the sun for 12 days. This shrivels them, reducing the aqueous content of the grapes. It also markedly concentrates sugars, flavour compounds and acids.

The resulting wine weighs in at an unctious 207 g/l of residual sugar and 12.7% abv. The perception of sweetness, and this is a very sweet wine, is deftly balanced by freshness and layered complexity. Dates, liquorice, caramel and cooked orange notes, with exceptional poise. A fascinating, beguiling multi-layered wine, that really deserves some more attention. At £17 per 50cl this incredible value, I will definitely be buying a few cases to put in the back of the cellar.

First tasted 10 years ago, when this wine was still fighting fit, it is clearly now passed its best. Once such great wine, now with faded fruit and some overbearing earthiness coming through. Drink up.

Sensational. 3 hour decant allowed some of the funk to blow off before the wine really opened up and started to display the most heady bouquet. Then drunk over another 2 hours and improving all the way through. Clearly 10+ years left. Need to find some more.

Undoubtedly a well made wine, but very disappointing given the anticipation that 10 years should have done more to level this wine out and make it far more presentable at this stage. will stick to the bigger vintages and double or triple the bottle age.

Drunk at the winery in Dec 2014 with a very good meal. I thought this was was in the perfect place, but could have survived for another 3-5 years to come. Beautifully structured with rich black fruit and supply tannins. A great effort.

A really well made wine. Not cheap but half or two thirds of a similarly quality burgundy which this wine seems to be striving to recreate. Would buy again if there was any left.
