Delicious at 15 years.. Purple garnet with browning edges. Forest floor nose. Plums twigs spices, lingering tannins.

2/9/22, 4:25 PM - Hi Pianist718, I bought these directly from Rhys during my very first years of collecting, so a good 15+ years ago! I've never really tried auctions, but it might have been cheaper compared to offsite storage. I'm scared to assess! But it has been great when it worked.

I was around 600 for a long time, but buying shot up during the pandemic!

Amanti Vino in Morristown and Montclair has classes:

More informally, the maestro of wine in Maplewood: Hank Zona has a monthly informal tasting club:

Really good! Stony lemon, hazelnut, grapefruit pith. Reminds me of Ceritas.

Delicious. Crimson color hint of orange. Meat, berry, mint. Integrated tannins. Hint of baby powder. 5 hours to fully open.

1/2/17, 8:39 PM - Unfortunately I am not so experienced with CdP vintages to know how they are evolving and compare. I can't say that any of the 2007s I have opened have been amazing 'I want more' experiences.
