Beautiful cabernet with a big powerful nose that makes you think you have opened this wine too soon. Two hours of decant yields a delicious wine that makes it a pleasure to drink. I will wait another five years to open the next one. The wine evolved throughout the evening, pared perfectly with a grilled rack of lamb.

Ready to drink, at it's peak. I bought this wine in Los Alamos several years ago from Kurt Russels' sister. I would assume most bottles are gone at this point given their is only one other tasting note from seven years ago.
The wine was wonderful and full of surprises. The nose was cherry cola with very inticing ferfume. Fully mature in the mouth, could have believed it was a Beaune if tasted blind. In the end the earthy base is cleary Cali pinot and a substancial pleasure. Loved it.

Beautiful Chardonnay, balanced and well integrated. The fruit to oak interface is striking. This reminded me of a Puligny Montrachet, should drink well for another ten years and is excellent now.

Fantastic mature Burgundy, one bottle left. If you can find it buy it and consume it, you will be glad you did.

Clearly still evolving, continues to be restrained with anticipation of what is to come. Classic Burgundy nose with tertiary elements of forest floor coming through. The taste of raspberry is present with grippe tannin on the tongue. After two hours on the table the wine began to show a fuller rounder expression with the tannin receding. Four to five years and this wine will be a delicious pleasure.

Initial impression, quality Premier Cru Chablis. Could still be in infancy given the skill of the Leroy house. Light citrus with balanced acidity. Very pleasant now.

Very closed upon opening lean and resistant to show itself. initial impression was dubious as to it's Grand Cru status. After an hour and a half the wine began to sing. The flavor profile opened up, forest floor with a solid mid pallet structure made this a delightful experience. An excellent wine with a grilled fillet.

Decanted for an hour, the first encounter is a nose of rose pedal that awakens the senses. Beautiful Pinot Noir fruit hits the palate at first sip. Wonderful follow through with a finish that caries on for a least 60 seconds.
My first experience with this producer. Light in color and deep in flavor with a wonderful lift and structure to the fruit. I will definitely look for more.

This wine is still evolving. Decanted for about an hour and a half and was well rewarded. I did not experience a lean body as noted in a recent review. Pinot Noir fruit was ample and had a nice balance of fruit and mineral elements. Acidity is very present and could be distracting but this issue was resolved with the decant air time. This is an excellent food wine and stood up well to pork loin grilled over mesquite. I believe this wine has a few more years to integrate in the bottle. I wish I had a few more bottles.

Outstanding California Chardonnay. Very Puligny Montrachet character, depth of fruit is impressive Lemon curd and brioche come through in waves. Terrific with food.
i wish I had more.

Butterscotch and lemon curd with subtle oak notes are nicely integrated providing a pleasant spice component. This presents much like a
Puligny Montrachet. A little hot early on but smooths out as the fruit and polish of time provide a very pleasurable experience. Very nice Chardonnay

Absolutely delicious. Cherry Cola early on with a tart cherry finish. Later showing smooth beautiful Pinot Noir fruit as the evening evolved. This is food wine. Consumed with a Coq Au Vin, absolutely spot on. I decanted an hour before serving, which I recommend. This wine will continue to evolve for several more years and is currently at it's apogee. There is minimal sediment in the bottle.

Very polished and built to last. Dry and enticing with a nice balance of oak. The fruit is shedding and the wine seems to be closing a bit. This was my second bottle, the first was consumed one year ago where the wine showed more fruit. This wine seems headed for a good evolution. I will open another a year from now and note its development. Classy Chardonnay.

Needs time, at least another five years for the acidity to soften. Great nose of forest floor and tart cherry. Enjoyable now, the patient will be rewarded with a beautiful Burgundy

Amazing Pinot. Top tier, should age beautifully. Drinking very well now, another year or two should serve the patient. High toned fruit keeps you coming back for more. Yummy stuff

I had this wine with lobster on new years eve, what a paring. Rich and complex, went perfectly with the lobster. Butterscotch flavors come on strong with wonderful balance and lush mouth-feel. Great Cali Chard that should evolve for a few years.

Amazing Chardonnay. one of the best I have had this year. Excellent integration and balance, in a league with Puligny Montrachet. Lots of room to evolve and exceptional now.

Tasted on my B day, with a grilled rack of lamb, awesome wine. One of the best Cali Pinot Noirs ever and I am a long standing fan. No comparisons to Burgundy and no need. California has its own outstanding potential and this is a powerful example. Noise of roasted meet and red wine stock reduction, beautiful and silky in the mouth. The finish goes on and on. The potential for aging is excellent and I expect it to become more ethereal and nuanced with a few years of age. Wonderful now and looking forward to a few years of bottle age.

Let this baby air. Powerful yet graceful. The high alcohol 15.1%will keep this coming on strong. It is great now and will definitely improve with a couple years of age. Lemon flower and curd come on as the evening evolved. We had a seafood fest and the wine was spot on. Can't wait to try the other Chardonnay bottlings.

A wine in need of time. All the ingredients are there. Light in color, with good pinot structure, a bit rough at this time. I have more laid away and won't open another one for about three years. I think the wine will improve to a Burgundian balance, along with the score.

With dinner last night, this wine stood out as good as California Chardonnay gets. I rated this wine about a year and a half ago and noted that it had not come together at that time. The time has come, great Chardonnay. A powerful citrus attack in a wonderful way, the follow up is yummy honeysuckle that keeps you going back for more.

A funky oaky aroma at first, then opened to silky lead pencil with lots of backbone. Still a sleeping beauty in my opinion. Decanted and sat for an hour before the first sip. Over a period of three hours the wine evolved in the glass as expected. Fruit is fading and the transformation is only going to get better. I will not open another one for at least three years. The acid on this wine will carry it to a new dimension, my prediction for thirty year perfection, with a higher rating.
The wine looks Garnet colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like and Red Currant plum and hints of tobacco.

This wine needs time, still integrating. The finish is a bit hot, hopefully time will smooth it out. I decanted the fine and noted some improvement after about a hour and a half. No depth of fruit currently. I recommend tasting again in 6 months.
The wine looks Straw colored. The legs are Slow.
