I am not great with these tasting notes because I submit the next day and tend to forget the details. However I do know that Spectator gave this wine a 97 and Parker a 96. The tannins were silky smooth and soft with plenty of fruit. The finish was amazing and long lasting. After cheating and looking at Parker and Spectator, I do remember some berries, licorice, violets, lead pencil, with an amazing balance of flavors. I loved this wine. I am finally starting to drink some 2003's including Pontet Canet which is also amazing. Parker and Spectator were right on with this wine. It was even better with a grilled filet of beef.

I agree with the WS rating of 95 pts. WA only gave it 87. Silky tannins and great balance. I am not real good at describing the flavors. I tasted more sangiovese than merlot. Plenty of fruit with mineral flavors. Silky smooth and a long finish. I bought 5 bottles from the winery after a tour last summer. The wine is so delicious that I ordered another case from the winery. About $92 per bottle including freight. I do not get the WA rating at all, and I usually agree with RP's ratings.

This wine is delicious. 12 different grapes to create a very smooth, fruity and velvety every day drinking wine. I tasted it at the winery, but it was even better when I drank a bottle. The price is around $35 from the winery so it is very reasonable. It is a nice alternative to drink instead of Pinot for a variety of foods. The combination of flavors from the 12 different grapes is amazing.

I was concerned after I bought this WS 95 pt rated wine because Wine Advocate only gave it 87 pts. A big spread in the ratings between the 2 normally means the wine really should be rated somewhere in the middle. I decanted this wine for about 2 hours and was pleasantly surprised. It was much closer to the WS rating than Parker. It is not everyday that you can taste unusual blends, like in this case, 50 percent Merlot and 50% Sangiovese. The wine was delicious with soft tannins and hints of raspberry and plum flavors. Even though the blend is 50/50, I thought the Sangiovese was more dominant. The cost of this wine is not cheap. I give it 94 pts and worth the money.

The most consistent chardonnay from year to year I have ever tasted. Great balance of butter, fruit and oak. My favorite chardonnay hands down.

This is a massive wine. It was extremely rich for my tastes. In small doses drinking next to a cabernet, it was quite delicious. A previous poster mentioned there was too much Viogner mixed into the blend creating a flowers and citrus taste. I would agree with that description. I can see how someone with the right kind of palate could rate this wine 99 pts for it is truly massive in fruit, silky tannins, but a little overkill in the flowers and citrus for me. Although, sipped after eating a steak cooked on a Primo ceramic grill, it was an incredible combination of flavors. I would open up a second bottle of a different wine just in case this one is too unique for your taste buds.
