Beautiful purple. Medium legs..sweet strawberries and floral notes in the nose. After resting for about a half hour after opening, the dark cherries, strawberries, and bright flavors are easy to taste and the tannins settle down to a relaxing finish. Great right now...or keep another couple of years.

This wine is a deep claret. The legs were fast, but the nose was immediately berry filled, blackberries and spice. It had a mocha and chocolate hint in the middle, and the finish was long with smooth tannins. Great for the price!

This wine is a beautiful deep purple with medium legs. It does take a while to open up...we did not decant. Plum and cocoa on the nose and a definite dark plum and blackberry on the palate. The bite of very dark chocolate just before a dry, earthy finish is perfect! Take your time with this one....the complexity is subtle.

I agree with Wine Enthusiast and their 90 rating. We drank with snow pea Chinese chicken dinner. The wine does have fast red legs, but the raspberry and dark cherry flavors do not disappoint. The sour note is the pomegranate seeds taste mentioned on some boards. There is a hint of vanilla and cherry on the nose. Flavors still strong and vibrant over 2 hours in. Great find at Costco for $6.99!

Dark fruits and red currants on the tongue. Still tight, but good already! Give it a year or two.

Red velvet is aptly named. Crimson colored with the aroma of strawberries and mocha. The medium legs and layers of flavor do not disappoint. Dark cherries, plum, perhaps even blackberries were evident after only a few minutes in the glass. The mocha finish was quite long and smooth, and with our teriyaki pork stir-fry---it was a perfect pairing. This wine would be great just to sip. Loaded with flavor. No dessert needed. Already had my cupcake.

We chilled this well and sipped throughout the evening and with our meal---turkey, asparagus and spinach salad. The aroma definitely was citrus and straw. It was refreshing with red grapefruit and maybe tart apple. The acid content helped to extend the flavors to a long finish. Our last two bottles. Great QPR

This wine is a dark purple with medium legs. The aroma is rich blackberry and spices. It has a wonderful black cherry and plum flavor. Polished and soft, but very long on the finish, this wine has low acidity. Would pair well with steak.

We chilled this wine and drank it with Chinese food. It was a perfect choice. It had a slight acidity--just enough. The subtle white currant flavor added a bit of sweet tartness to the apple and peach flavors already present upon opening.

This garnet wine has fast legs. On the nose, black currant and dark fruit. I taste cassis and blackberry. It has a light to medium body with a healthy dose of tannins and a short finish.

Floral nose-hint of lilac? Dark fruits, not a lot of tannins. Pleasant. Great value under $10
The wine is purple and the legs are fast. The aroma is blackberry and violet/lilac. I taste blackberry and raspberry. The body is light/medium. This wine has a narrow texture, and finishes short.

Lime and peach on the nose. Sweet (but not too sweet) and refreshing. Would be great with fruit or light desserts.

We double aerated this wine and found it not to be acidic. The dark fruit and plum were pleasant. Not real complex. Medium bodied with a little bit of strawberry. It was a gift! Nothing lost and not a bad wine.

Pretty much what I expected, but not bad. Thin, not much of a nose, but worthy of drinking while watching my favorite team play football. Decent Iowa wine.Frontenac grapes are tasty.
