Vale da Capucha 2012 Vinha Teimosa Tinto, 14 % alcohol.
Bottle in perfect shape.
85 % Touriga Nacional and 15 % Tinta Roriz.

Young, dark and dense colour.
Lots of herbs and blueberries on the nose, and some green notes and menthe. Liquorice appears after a while.
Lovely chewy tannins and good acidity. This full bodied wine offers herbs, liquorice and dark fruit. Nice minerality and good balance. Quite long finish.

A nice effort !! I really like this wine!
If served blind I think I might end up in Bordeaux and probably St Estephe.

Bottle in perfect shape.
Dark and quite dense colour.
Quite warm on the nose. Dark plum, blackberries, violets, chocolate and a hint of tobacco.
On the palate the wine offers warm, rich and ripe fruit of dark plum, blackberries, herbs and a hint of chocolate. Good firm tannins, nice acidity, medium to full body.
The high alcohol of 15 % is integrated well, so good balance.

Even better the day after! :)
I'll wait a few years with my other bottles (5 - 8 y) ... and drink my 2006 and 2008 instead the following year.

Bottle in perfect shape.
Dark and dense color.
Really good on the nose! The wine offers a very nice bouquet of lavendel, blueberries, violett, dark chocolate and liquorice.
Nice on the palate as well. Velvety texture. Medium to full body, good grip and good balance between the young fruit, the acidity and the quite high alcohol (14,5%). Dark fruit, liquorice, black cherry, mineral and herbs.
Long finish, but there is a bit to much alcohol showing at the moment.
I'll let my other bottles rest for about 4 - 6 years. Would be fun to try this wine in 2034!
Nice effort! 92 p + ... and I bet this wine will reach higher score 2022 - 2024.

Perfect bottle.
Great nose. Blue and dark fruit combined with herbs and chocolate, and a hint of liquorice.
Light to medium body. Everything is in balance here.
On the palate the wine offers liquorice, dark plum, herbs and a hint of blueberries.
Quite long finish with lots of liquorice in the aftertaste.

Usually I'm not fond of Vin Nature but this is good!
The wine have sex appeal ... for sure! And me too after a bottle!
Well made, Julie :-)

Bottle no. 02085 in perfect condition.
Served blind at a tasting.

Just a Lovely nose of asian spice box, dried roses, red berries and a typical green herbal note that I almost always find in Richebourg from DRC.
A very complex wine, deep and powerful like a Chambertin yet delicate and feminin in its style.
Long and wonderful finish.

Just lovely to drink right now ... and probably for another year before it goes to sleep for a few years.

Perfect bottle.
I tried this bottle over 48 h.
Carmosine red, transparent, clear.
At first the wine was closed and very oaky, but after 6 - 12 hours it got a lovely nose! Cherries, strawberries, herbs, oak, roasted hazelnuts. Sweet bouquet.
The tannins are velvety. Soft but a bit dry. The acidity is medium to medium plus. The alcohol of 14,5 % is more restrained than expected. Lovely sweet and generous fruit of cherries, strawberries, liquorice and some lingonberries. Even some tobacco in the back.
Good balance ... even if the alcohol is 14,5 %.
Long finish ...

If compared with Vigna di Pianrosso the finish have more alcohol here than in Pianrosso.

A very good effort! If you are drinking this wine over the next 2 - 3 years I recommend you to open the bottle the day before. The wine was at its best after 24 h! It even stood up to Chateau Latour 1996! ... if not quite as good and elegant as Latour 1996.
And the 2010 Vigna di Pianrosso is worth looking for.

56 % Pinot Noir, 30 % Chardonnay and 14 % Pinot Meunier. Vintages 2000 - 2005. Degorgée winter 2010/2011.
Great mousse. The colour is somewhat between pink and peach.
Lovely bouquet of wild strawberries, red berry tart, citrus (yellow fruit) and a hint of strawberries.
Great mineral combined with good acidity and red fruit of wild strawberries, strawberries and citrus makes a very good rosé Champagne. Long, long finish!
Great effort!

Perfect bottle.
Dark, dense. Starts to get some age with a hint of brick colour on the rim.
Cassis, cigar box, tobacco, blueberries, herbs, pencil and a hint of blackberries.

Pure elegance!!
Complex, multilayered wine with medium plus acidity, firm but softened tannins, minerality and dark elegant fruit. Great aristocratic backbone. Long, long finish.

This is a Grand Vin!

This wine did I try over 48 h. It performed at its best after 10 - 18 h in decanter. The decanter had foil on top to seal it.

Hommage to Denis Malbec!
This bottle was opened to pay respect and remember the winemaker Denis Malbec
The year 2016 took another great personality away from us.

Perfect bottle in great shape.
The colour is similar to red velvet. Transparent, clear.
A wonderful bouquet of mature strawberries! Even some herbs and roses in the back ... but the strawberries are totally dominant here.
Soft and silky tannins that are just lovely.
Just a beautiful wine with good balance between medium plus acidity, soft silky tannins, pure and generous fruit and an alcohol that keep itself behind the scene. A nice mineral backbone as well.

Great effort from Burlotto.

Bottle in very good shape. A/B - B fill (low neck).
Note: Danish bottling, Knud Jørgensen, Hellerup (Calvet)

Very dark and dense colour. The edge is brick colour, but the center is almost black ... like coffee.
When swirling the glas the wine leave a trace that looks like an old sweet wine from Jerez made of Pedro Ximenez.

This wine is tasted over 34 h! From popped & poured until the last sip. The wine was decanted and directly poured back into the bottle.
At first the wine seems to be oxidiced according to the first sniff when popped. But it comes to life with air and after 1 hour it offers a bouquet that is very similar to a Vintage Port. Then comes leather, coffee, figs, caramel and some black liqourice. After 8 h I find roasted hazelnuts, chocolate, underbrush and prunes. But there is an oxidiced note all the way though ... but in a good way I must say.

The wine is very smooth on the palate. A salty touch, but with a lively sweetness that I didn't expect. Multilayered and complex. Long finish that leave a trace of mineral combined with dried figs and prunes.

To me the wine performs at its best after 10 h. My good friend says it is at its best after 20 h.
According to my test of this wine over 34 hours I must say this is a Grand Vin, and this wine will live for many years if stored in the best way. I had a glas with 8 cl til the day after. It was left on the table with foil on top ... and it was at least as good as the day before

I just love this wine!
Very light colour, transparent yet a bit cloudy, looks older than it actually is.
Wonderful nose of roses, raspberries, wild strawberries, forrest floor, burnt underbrush. The bouquet have many connections to both Domaine Leroy and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.

Lovely aromas, impeccable balance, the fruit and acidity lingers on the palate and are nicely wrapped up by a lovely sea shell minerality.
I've tried this wine many times now, yet I couldn't pin point it as Clos de Bèze 2008. Blind I ended up in Les Amoureuses ... and 1993 Comte Georges de Vogüé.
This wine is so feminim and elegant that it is nearly impossible to guess Chambertin ...

Long elegant finish.

This is a Grand Vin!

Very dark colour for a Pinot Noir. Deep, dense.
Spicy nose with great fruit of raspberries, mullberries, blackberries, tea and a hint of smoke and forrest floor/burnt underbrush.
Very nice flavours, pure fruit, well balanced, nicely structured with a mineral backbone and an acidity that can handle the young pure fruit.
Nice medium finish.
Well done of Arnoux-Lachaux. This is a very well made Vosne-Romanée Village.

Perfect bottle. Served blind at Chez Fitz.
Dark crimson, pure and clear, no sediment.
On the nose this wine offer cherries, chark/meat, flowers/roses, oak and some tar.
Lovely silky tannins, nice and pure fruit of cherries and plums, good acidity.

I tried this wine 2 years ago and back then it was closed. No it has opened up to my delight.

I must admit I ended up in Brunello di Montalcino 2010 at first.

A nice effort of Paolo Conterno. 91 - 92p.

Bottle in perfect condition.
Deep, dark and dense colour. Brick colour on the rim.
Dark fruit of plum, blackberry, cassis, a bit herbal spiciness, tobacco, cedar, leather, mocca and a bit meaty.
Just wonderful on the palate! The fruit, acidity and tannins are in harmony and create a well balanced wine.
Lovely taste of blackberries, plums and spices, mixed with a bit oak and some coffee.
Nice tannins, good acidity, lovely minerality.
Nice long finish, + 50 sec.

I recommend 5 - 6 hours in decanter.
Personally I think the wine is at its best after 18 h ...

The bottle had great fill, B-stand, but the wine was "over the top" and tired. Good cork though.
Dark brick colour. Lots of sediment.
The nose was sherry like with a note of mushroom, forrest floor, japanese soy, caramel/brown sugar and bouillon.
On the palate the wine performed like a dry low alcohol sherry ... with hints of bouillon/broth and soy.
Some over ripe dark fruit of plum in the back. Good acidity, good mineral ... salty touch.

But this wine passed its expiration date at least ten years ago.
I wish I could've tried this wine 15 - 20 years ago.

Still a fun bottle to try ...

Great nose offering dark and red cherries, herbs & spices, leather, plums, tobacco and oak.
Quite full bodied wine, dense, with a very good acidity and lovely tannins that are very silky yet powerful. And the wine has a minerality that gives it structure and backbone. A very balanced wine I must say! And the alcohol of 15% integrates with the fruit and acidity in a lovely way. Good focus and long finish.

This is the best Chianti I've tried for many years.

Transparent carmosine red.
Wonderful bouquet of red berries and spices. Seductive on the nose.
But there is a little bit "dusty" note on the nose.
At first the wine is shut down. Needs decanting for at least an hour and a half.
With a bit of air and time in the glass the typical vitamine note appears.
This is a very delicate and refined version of Richebourg. Very feminim, elegant and aristocratic.
Good grip in the beginning and in the end, lovely fresh acidity, soft but dusty tannins, firm mineral backbone, the vitamine note appears on the palate as well.
A slow starter and a bit weak in the middle ... but other than that it's a great bottle of wine.

A nice treat before Christmas :-)

Young, dark ruby.
Lovely seductive bouquet of cherries, dark berries, coffee, spices and some liquorice. Some oak and vanilla in the back. With time in decanter a nice meaty note appears.
Good acidity, nice grip, medium plus in the body, firm but still quite soft tannins. A bit dusty feeling, but the tannins are not too dry, and a good thing is that the alcohol stay in the background wich makes the wine quite balanced.
But I expected more in the finish. A bit too one dimensional and not as long as I expected. But still a good effort.

This wine improves very well over night in the decanter.
My recommendation is + 6 hours decanting.
I found the wine at its best after 18 h.

Young, slightly yellow. Great mousse. Goes on forever!
Lovely flavours of citrus, mineral, bread and tropic fruit.

Good bootle.
Good mousse, slightly amber.
Peach, apricot, a bit nutty, brioche. A bit herbal.
Nice acidity (medium), good mineral, flavours of apricots, strawberries and lime.
Great mouthfill, but a bit short finish. Some honey and pine in the finish behind the citrus.
A good Champagne, but not great. But I still like it. Worth every dime.

Good bottle.
Starts to get some age. Dense core. Quite cloudy. Unfiltered. I would say purple core and brick rim.
When popped and poured the bouquet was very burgundian. Red flowers, red berries, herbs, spices and oak. But with time in the glass (+ 30 min) it builds on some meat and blood, and show more green notes, stalks and leafs. Reminds me of 2004 Burgundy ... so I'm back in Burgundy again ... but after an hour the black olives appears.
Nice flavours of dark berries, black olives, meat, bacon, herbs. A little green note. Nice medium acidity, firm but soft tannins, integrated and good balance. But the finish is quite short. Nice mouthfill though.

Yet another premox white Burgundy.

The low acidity and all the flavours reminds me of a Hermitage Blanc.
Even if it doesn't perform as it should it is a nice match with the cheese and chark the host bring on the table.

Perfect bottle. Served blind at Chez Fitz.
Young, red velvet, transparent. The colour is very Burgundian.
Floral, red berries, spice box, "expensive oak". A little bit malolactic and a hint of fudge. With time in the glass it shows more meat and dark berries, blackberries.
Very elegant taste. Medium body with an aristocratic poise, thus feminim and sexy. Fresh crisp acidity, soft silky tannins. Even if this La Mouline is made in a lighter style it got lots of energy. It is like a Tsunami that never hits the shore. The same kind I often find in Chambertin. To quote my friend; "A perfect combo of weightless power and elegance".
I got this wine blind, and I was totally off. At first I was in Chambolle-Musigny (on the nose), and after my first sips I ended up in Gevrey-Chambertin! But this is what makes it so fun with wine! It makes me more humble too :-)

Perfect bottle, top fill. From domaine.
Still quite young in colour. Medium red velvet.
Incredible bouquet! Red flowers, roses, violets, cloves, spice box, underbrush, curry powder. After an hour it shows cherries, meat and mushrooms. Very deep and complex nose.
Just lovely taste! Still young and vital fruit, lots of energy and incredible depth. Complex and layered. Elegant mineral structure, almost salty, silky mature tannins that melts into the gum, nice acidity that reminds me of lingonberries. After an hour it gets more meaty. Long long finish.
Served blind at dinner with good friends and wine lovers.
My friend call DRC's Grands-Échézeaux for mini-La Tache and I must admit he got a good point here. This G-É performs at least as good as the La Tache, and better than the 1985 Richebourg.
Almost a perfect score today, 98 - 99 points!
To me this wine is Gabrielle Anwar.

Dark, purple to carmine, quite dense and a bit hazy.
Great nose, blueberries, blackberries, black pepper, cassis, green herbs and oak. A little hint of malolactic. I really like the nose of this wine.
The fruit is young, delicious and lingering. A salty mineral backbone, good refreshing acidity, tight and a bit bitter tannins. The alcohol is integrated nicely. All parts in harmony, so it is a very balanced wine. Medium plus finish. Nice flavours of dark berries in the aftertaste.
A very good effort from Chave. One of the best wines from Saint-Joseph I've tried so far. 93 + points.

Perfect bottle. Stored under perfect conditions. Top fill.
Still young, transparent, somewhere between purple and ruby.
When popped and poured it is quite tight. Needs 4 hours to open up. The day after it sings (+18h).
All the classic Burgundy notes, wild strawberries, spices, roses, oak, a hint of lingonberries.
Lovely wine. After all the Vin Nature this is a bliss! Finally a decent wine! Still young, firm and a bit harsh tannins, lovely fresh acidity, to me everything is in balance though it is young. Much better now than last time I tried this back in 2010. The oak has settled down quite a bit. The tannins has settled down a bit compared with last time, yet obvious and present.
Drinking window 2020 - 2040.

Good bottle, popped and poured at a wine bar. Vin Nature.
Very young colour, slightly yellow with a hint of green.
Lovely bouquet of fresh berries, white summer flowers, caramel and fudge. Smells like summer and Werther's Original.
But it taste funny. A bit funky and harsh. Feels like there is some CO2. Unbalanced and unstable. Good acidity, really refreshing, but the rest of the wine is all over.
The finish is quite short as well.

The bouquet was really promising, but the taste couldn't deliver. Strange bottle. Maybe I got an off bottle? I will try this wine again to really find out what it's all about.
Just for the smell of it I could give a high score ... but the performance on the palate takes away 8 - 10 points.

Good bottle, popped and poured at a wine bar.
Deep amber, orange, slightly hazy.
Elderflowers, box, herbs, over ripe apples and dried apricots. Some mineral on the nose and a bit volatile acidity. Reminds me a bit of dry Sherry.
Oxidized, good acidity, medium body with some grip due to the tannic acidity. Because it is a bit tannic there is a nice structure here. Gives it a bit of a backbone. Offering flavours of green grapes, grape skin, herbs, fennel seeds and some red berries.
Medium finish with some energy.
One of the better Vin Nature I've tried. Yet it is not a big wine and far from a Grand Vin, but fun to try out of an acedemic point of view.
Good bottle served at a wine bar. Bottle no. 41035
Young, dark, somewhat between purple and dark ruby.
A bit reductive when popped and poured, so a bit dirty at first and almost unpleasant, oxidized, but after 30 minutes in the glass it is getting much better and offers wild strawberries, raspberries, herbs, cherries and a hint of blueberries. After 1 1/2 to 2 hours in the glass it offers menthe chocolate (like "After Eight") and lingonberries.
This wine doesn't perform as well on the palate. It can't fulfill what the nose promises. It is more dirty on the palate and I would say the fruit is "lame", and this in combination with the tannins make this wine harsh and pointed, but I like the acidity though. Feels a bit unbalanced.
Light to medium body, no complexity, no drive, no energy. Boring and quite mediocre/insignificant. Medium finish (30 - 40 sec).
I must admit I am disappointed. I paid 30 € per glass of this wine ... and just like the 2011 Trebbiano from Emidio Pepe I feel robbed.

Bottle in good shape at a Wine Bar. Bottle no. 07061
The colour is somewhat between light yellow and straw/hay. Unfiltered and slightly turbid. Vin Nature.
At first the nose is very reduced, a whiff of yeast attacks me, dirty and not very pleasant at all. But after 30 minutes in the glass it s getting better and offers green grapes, grape skin, citrus, & herbs (like tagetes tangerine).
But the wine taste good right from the start. A bit oxidized, nice aromas and flavours of green grapes, yellow fruit and herbs. Ok mineral and a nice acidity that makes this wine a bit crispy. But this wine is lacking energy, lacking body and there is no complexity to talk about.
Not very long finish, yet ok. But no energy nor drive in the finish.

I paid 30 € for a glass of this wine at a wine bar, and I must admit I feel robbed. For the same amount of money I could get a wonderful glass of Sassicaia 2010 ...

Mature, brick colour. Still quite dense for its age.
Quite vital and lively bouquet. Mature earthy notes of meat, mushrooms, truffles, blood, leather, tobacco, stables and chocolate. Yes, there is some brett. But I like that and it gives an extra dimension to this wine that it needs.
Nice mouthfill. Smooth and elegant. Good mature flavours of meat, tobacco and leather. There is a residual sweetness in the back. This wine has a depth. Complex and layered. All parts in harmony, so good balance. Quite long finish. Even if the bottle wasn't in perfect shape it delivers. I want to get my hands on a bottle in good shape

Perfect bottle. 750 ml.
Very young, transparent, pure, velvety colour. Quite bright for a Richebourg.
Lovely bouquet of wild strawberries, lingonberries, fennel, oak, and a hint of cinnamon, spice box, chocolate, cloves and pepper.
On the palate it is the acidity and minerality that shines. Brisk acidity with lots of energy and fine tuned, yet vibrating, mineral as my good friend says. Smooth sliky tannins, great balance, lovely concentration. This wine refresh your palate.

Blind I would never have guessed Richebourg. I would have gussed Les Amoureuses in Chambolle-Musigny.
To sum up this wine I will quote my good friend: "Impressive combo of weightless power and elegance."

Perfect bottle. Great fill. Stored under perfect conditions.
Very, very young colour. Dark, dense, compact. Almost black.
Needs time in decanter to open up. At least 4 h. But the best glass I had was the one I saved for the next day ... so I must say it is at its best after 24 hours, that's how young this wine is. And this wine is 25 years old (young)!!
Wonderful bouquet of dark cherries, blackberries, mocca, leather, curry powder, pencil/graphite, cassis, oak, cedar and cigarr box.
Nice flavours, ripe cherries, coffee, meat, blood, bacon, chocolate, oak, cedar.
The tannins are obvious and quite tight, yet they stay in the background and integrates well with the fruit and the quite brisk acidity. I must say I like the acidity in this wine, just refreshing. Good balance.
But this wine lack the extra dimension that only the big wines offers, and the finish is a bit shorter than expected ... yet I love this wine and give it a good score, 93+ to 94.
This was a perfect match with Steak Frites!

Perfect bottle. 750 ml.
Great mousse! Very lively, lots and lots of tiny elegant bubbles.
Very young colour. Slightly yellow.
If served blind you would nail this one by just a sniff of the bouquet. It is Krug all over ... what I call the Krug-smoke. Smoke, mineral, citrus, sea shells, bread/toast and a bit volatile acidity on top of it. Just lovely!
Great mouthfill! Lovely texture! Balance, pure finess, great flavours of citrus, grapes, bread and hint of coffee I would say. As usual this Krug has a lovely mineral. Long elegant finish!
I must admit I was a bit suspicious when it came to the vintage 2003 in Champagne ... but both Dom Perignon and this Krug made me very curious about the vintage. Next to try is the 2003 Clos des Goisses.

Dark yellow, slightly golden ... but lighter than most de L'Orée I've tried over the years.
This wine needs time to open up. At least 2 - 3 hours in decanter.
Lovely tropical bouquet of pineapple, cocoa, citrus, apricot, pear, candles/wax and yellow fruit. Very complex. Nice depth.
Great texture, rich, concentrated, several layers appears, nice structure, a bit stoney mineral, complex, fully integrated. Great balance! Long finish! Lovely tropical flavours in the aftertaste. Aristocratic wine I must say.
If this wine only had more acidity it would be the best of the best.

Mature, quite burgundian, transparent. Slightly brick colour.
Lovely mature and complex bouquet offering red currant, liqourice, meat, red fruit, coffee and oak.
This wine has a soft and silky texture, fresh acidity, soft and mature tannins that melts in the mouth and still a lovely and lively red fruit.
Some at the tasting think the wine is "over the hill", but most of us think this is just lovely! Very burgundian. Just the way I want my Barolos!

Perfect magnum bottle.
Very dark and powerful for a Grands Échézeaux.
At first lots of warm fruit and alcohol, but with + 3h in the glass it comes around and shows the terroir from Vosne. Elegance, spice box, curry powder, roses, wild strawberries, oak, structure, balance, mineral ...
Yet this 2003 is not so representative for either DRC or Grands Échézeaux. Blind I first end up in Gevrey-Chambertin ... or even Morey-St-Denis ... and if I have to choose a producer in Vosne I would go to the fabulous Liger-Belair because of the power and energy mixed with the oak.
Don't get me wrong. This is a fine Grand Cru. Just atypic for DRC and the vineyard.

Mature colour, brick colour.
Elegant bouquet offering wild raspberries, wild strawberries, roses, sulpher, oak, mineral and a bit of volatile acidity. With some time in the glass (+ 2 h) it evolves some curry powder, coffee and toast as well.
This is a very soft, delicate and feminim Chambertin. But it still has a drive and energy that delivers a long nice finish with lovely flavours of red berries, roses and spices.
Great balance, soft tannins, lovely flavours, nice mineral and good acidity. It all ends up in good balance.
This wine is Rudolf Nurejev ... yet this wine is still alive with many years to go.
Just wonderful!

Perfect bottle.
Slightly amber.
Hay, nuts, volatile acidity, alcohol, brown sugar. At first this Madeira is very raw with lots of alcohol in the bouquet, but with time it gets better. When the bottle have been open for 5 days it is quite pleasant actually.
On the palate it offers nuts, green tea, watercress, grape spirit (alcohol) and herbs.
Ok finish with lots of watercress and green tea.

Perfect bottle.
Young, transparent.
Oak and volatile acidity, lingonberries, a bit stalky like the wines from 2004 which is strange.
Lots of oak, good acidity, ok mineral but the fruit is lame/tame and a bit austere.
Ok finish though with a nice meaty touch that I like.

Perfect bottle. Magnum.
One of the best wines I have tried from this vintage in Burgundy. Probably the best.
Young colour.
Mature bouquet in an early stage. Roses, curry powder, wild strawberries, strawberries, lingonberries, mineral.
Lovely wine with layers of fruit. Great depth here. This is a profound and serious wine. Complex and elegant.
Long elegant lovely finish. Complex finish. Happiness in a bottle!

I got this wine blind and ended up in Vosne, but in Romanée-Saint-Vivant. And at first I guessed it was made by Domaine Leroy ... and my second guess was Sylvain Cathiard. So for me this is a very elegant and feminim Richebourg.
Usually Richebourg offers a green touch that reveals it. But this wine didn't have this green touch.

Perfect bottle. Top fill.
Peerless wine!! Just amazing!
For me this wine is Grand Cru in all aspects.
Young colour, slightly green with a hint of yellow.
You can smell the mineral here! And behind the mineral you get lovely notes of yellow fruit and white flowers.
Mineral, mineral, mineral! Great structure! Everything play together here in perfect harmony! Lovely acidity, fresh, distinct and clean. Nice fruit in layers. Great mineral. Long lovely finish. Everything in balance! Elegance!
This is a fantastic 1:er Cru from Roulot.
This wine is HRH Prince William.

Perfect half bottle.
Golden colour.
Saffron, saffron, saffron, pineapple, qumquat, honey and saffron.
What can I say ... this wine is pure magic!
Maybe it is in a fase ... because it does not deliver 100p today ... only 98 ... but what can I say. It is still pretty damn close to perfection!
Lovely texture, nice acidity that gives this sweet wine a freshness, long long elegant finish!

As my good friend says: "Chateau d'Yquem is the best wine in the world! It is fantastic, always deliver and you can still get it to a reasonable price?" - soo true!

Perfect bottle. But two other bottles out of six was corked.
Young, slightly yellow with a touch of green.
Nice bouquet. All the Riesling notes you want from an Alsace of this good quality.
This is one of the better Frédéric Emile I've tried.
I love the mineral in this wine. The mineral backbone is very distinct and along with the good acidity it builds a nice wine with an elegant touch.
This 2008 is a very elegant wine, but still with a generous fruit.
Quite long finish. Good balance. Finally I can say Trimbach have made a good effort ... so I will buy more of 2008.
But be careful with the corks!
At this tasting 6 out of 25 bottles from Trimbach were corked! And 2 out of 6 Cuvée Frédéric Emile.

Perfect bottle.
Mature colour, transparent, pale, clear, yet with sediment in the bottom of the bottle.
Lovely mature nose of roses, wild strawberries, curry powder and a hint of lingonberries.
Very good mature Burgundy from Lalou Bize Leroy.
Good mature flavours. Secondary notes. Strawberries and lingonberries with an herbal touch. Nice acidity, fine mineral, lovely finish. Not so long ... but still + 35 sec.

Just a perfect time to drink this wine. It will last for another 5 years, but it will not get any better.
