Beautiful wine. Tight nose initially... 2+ hours in the decanter and it opened up. Red fruit, red plum, some cassis. Medium+ acidity and med- tannin. Seems to be nearing its peak, may have another few years. Tannins are soft and integrated, great length. Delicious Pomerol, good typicity.

Garnet core working to orange/pink rim. Nice red fruit on the nose with earth and leather. Nose matches palate: sour cherry, red plum on the palate with med acidity and med- tannin. Tannins are soft and well integrated. Nothing monumental, but a very nice example of St. Emilion in the hot year of 2003. Drink now... maybe a year left at most.

Some new world influence. Fruit driven, lacks complexity. Med body, med acid, med- tannin. This is not an 88 point wine as the average rating suggests, but decent enough for a $13 dollar bottle. I'm in the 84-85 point range given this is a <$15 bottle.

Very special wine. Very delicate, floral, violets, great acidity and very interesting structure (med-ish, soft tannins). The mouthfeel of this was unlike anything I've had, really luscious. Nice cherry and red fruit, very rich, a little spice going on in the background. Somewhat linear in terms of complexity, BUT the structure and mouthfeel of the wine is the main interest here! 93+

Tons of red fruit, cherry, strawberry, hints of vanilla. Real ripe, cherry pie filling almost. Soft tannins and good med+ acidity.

Inky, deep ruby. Maraschino cherry on the nose with smoke and hints of spice. Similar on the palate, cherry syrup and tar, with med+ tannin.
