Seeing the recent notes here on CT prompted me to pull a bottle of this for a recent tasting and this wine was close to being the group favorite. No signs at all of what I thought to be a hot/flabby vintage. The grapes were handled exceptionally, and gives everything that you crave from a Mosel riesling. Many years still ahead for this fantastic wine!

Absolutely seamless, ethereal, in a happy place now drinking well but seemingly with plenty of life ahead. Really great, powerful, riesling.

Great acid, much more savory in character that fruity, very rich and full, packed with minerals.
Definitely has years to go ahead of it before reaching peak, drinking this one on the young side just to check in.

This is a great dry riesling to help break me of my bent toward white Burgundy.

PnP, no decant, consumed over 2+ hours and still drinking well. No signs of improving but very enjoyable to drink now.

Decent aromatics but sour and thin on the palate. This was the third disappointing bottle.

Pretty lean and not giving much immediatly upon opening, even after a couple of hours being open.
A little bit that was left on day two definitely gave more aromatically and showed more weight and richness on the palate.
Maybe it's shutting down?
Tough to say if it's worth the price.

Delicious- above average everyday Syrah.
By everyday I mean something that can cellar for a couple of years and be enjoyable at the pull of the cork without any fuss.

Dark, spicy, gamey aromatics with richness on the mid palate without being flabby, overall quite well balanced with no alcohol burn.
A Burgundy lovers Rhone wine.

Possess a little more richness, concentration, and finesse than similar VDP's from Cuilleron and Graillot.

Good stuff!

Difficult to be too critical of this wine as it was part of a birthday/birthyear celebration. Purchased from KL this proved to a well stored bottle and surpassed my expectations.

Decanted and served over the course of two hours. Little sediment, brick red, open nose of classic Bordeaux cigar box, leather, a little barnyard, some dark fruits.

Drank well right from the start, opened up and fleshed out a little bit over the course of the evening, and in no way declined at all with exposure to air.
Glad we opened it when we did but could hold a little longer.
Very enjoyable.

Supple texture, flavors of lemon cream, sea salt, and shellfish brine. Moderate oak on the nose, rounded acidity from age, medium length and minerality.
Ever so slightly bitter on the finish but overall really well balanced.

This is the oldest wine that I've had from Droin and was very pleased at how it showed.
I discovered Droin through their 09's and 10's and will put these on the list of wines to by every year.

Completely closed, even after an hour and a half in the decanter.

Good pure Chassagne nose with a touch of oak, moderate acidity, nice minerality and weight; just not all coming together yet.
My first Chenevottes and I'm letting the rest of them sleep for a couple of years.

Delicious as always.
This is my fourth bottle over the last two years and they all seem very similar, almost unmoved.
There is a hugely reductive quality to the wine that makes me think that this wine has a long life ahead of it as it only begins to evolve in bottle.

Reserved nose more in line with Burgundy (Colin-Morey) showing almost no honeyed qualities of aged chenin blanc, and with subtle aromas of salty quince and pineapple; classic super-sharp Montlouis acid, prickly minerality, and medium plus weight on the palate. Dry finish.

For $32 this a steal.
I'm letting my remaining bottles sleep for many more years to see how they evolve!

Good introduction to the Piuze style and as to why he has become so popular lately. This wine delivers a lot for Petite Chablis.

Medium-to low in terms on overall complexity, medium plus acidity but very rich texture for an entry level Chablis. The texture is what draws me to like this wine so much.

Compared to some of the Droin or Billaud Simon entry level stuff this has become my new favorite and at $20 is hard to beat.

Soft, open, well balanced, and evolving in the glass after one hour. Secondary aromas, moderate tannins, and good acidity.
The earthy, dry, almost anti-fruit favors are what I love about this style of wine.
Definitely evokes an era of less extracted, less sterile, and lower alcohol wines that I crave.
I'll be buying these year after year without doubt.

The wine has lost a little nerve and some of the dark mid-palate intensity that I enjoyed initially upon release. More broad aromatics and softened edges all around.
Pleasant and balanced but maybe not as enjoyable as it was during year one.? The verdict on aging Cru Beaujolais is still out...
