This wine offers exceptional value for its price point. It possesses qualities that could easily deceive tasters into thinking it's more expensive, particularly in a blind tasting. Over three nights, its flavors noticeably improved, demonstrating its depth and complexity. I'm impressed enough to purchase it again.

My first mistake was not checking the community notes before uncorking another bottle. Comparatively, it didn't offer the same level of drinkability we had in '22 and I was a little disappointed, due to knowing what it could have been and eventually will be. The wine felt tightly wound, with suppressed aromas. Despite a one-hour decanting before heading to the restaurant and additional aeration throughout the night, it didn't have sufficient time to fully open up. In my opinion; if one chose to open a bottle, I would recommend a minimum of 4 hours. The vintage holds great promise, but did not match the enjoyment of the bottle last year. Definitely will be cellar the remaining bottles for years to come. Scoring a 92 at this time, definitely has the potential of 94+ once it's in its window.

Consumed over 2 nights. Night 1 - very pleasant, creamy, not an overly powered sweetness and the acidity is well balanced. On the second night, even beter. Showing well, very drinkable now and would say for a few more years to come. Enjoyed it very much

Drank over 2 nights. It was much beter the first night with a 3 hr decant in the glass. The second night, just poured from the bottle. very thin and a tad weak. It did start to show up over a 2 window. I have 3 more bottles and will drink sooner than later. Overall, I enjoyed the wine but it has passed it's window and do not expect much from the other bottles.

I was quite supprised with this wine. A large amount of sediment caked on the inside of the bottle, so I wasn't sure what to excpect. Decanted just under an hour in the glass. A little dry at first. Light friut on the nose, nothing overpowering. I sensed a touch of black liquorice and plum on the finish. Wine opened up over 2.5 hours and 2 glasses. For a wine the that was somewhat neutrul all around, I enjoyed it. I'm interested in what happens with it on day 2. It is probably well passed it's prime, but still very enjoyable. I will not wait very long to dring the 2nd bottle. I'm thinking a 3+ decant would help the first impressions.

The community drink dates state 2025-2044. I sure enjoyed this bottle in 2022, it was outstanding. Decanted for an hour, drank over a 3 hour period at dinner, celebrating our 25th. More sediment than I would have expected for such a young wine. Large aromas that permeated the glass. Enjoyable long finish. Looking forward to a 2nd bottle in a few years.

Agreed, prior notes apply. I feel the avg 89 is bit undescored. I give it a 91. The wine drinks well with a pnp but continues to improve on day 3. A great crowd pleaser.

Bottle #1. 1st decant - 5hrs. rebottled and brought with us to the restaurant for 50th birthday. Decanted another 1.5hrs. Consumed over the next 2.5 hrs. with with party of 7. The nose was of black cherry, little bit of mixed fruit & musty oak. The color was a light garnet & turbid. On the palate, more age black cherry, hint of licorice, root beer and touch of vanilla & caramel. Semi-dry in the finish that did not linger. Reminds me of a sherry or a port in aroma and flavor

Still drinking well at the end of the night. The aroma was still strong and very pleasant

The second bottle was prepped as the first bottle. Very similar to the 1st in aroma and on the palate. It drank smoother than the first, I believe due to the longer decant and the style of the decanter vs the 1st bottle. The decanter had a wide 10" bottom and greater exposure to air.

I feel this wine should drink well for at least 3-5 and maybe longer.

Decent Bordeaux for an every day wine, not a bad price point. Smooth, oaky & rich. Ruby color tones with hint of floral notes.

Poured and let set in the glass for 1/2 hour. Opened nicely over the next hour plus. Drinking very well right now. Maybe could have squeaked another year or two tops out of it. Had hints of cherry in the nose. Very smooth and full of flavor with mild finish. The flavor lingers just long enough to the next sip. Paired well with the dark chocolate from the Dominican. Had the last glass on 7/25/17, still drinking well. No sediment.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like forest floor, oak and cinnamon. It tastes like cherry and vanilla. The body is light/medium. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.
