This is showing much better than it did a year ago, a lot less green and a lot more of the Celia Welch style that I love. Not quite the weight of her other vintages but that is to be expected when drinking any 2011.

12/10/15, 7:39 AM - Glad I went back to revisit. I was dissappointed after my first bottle about a year ago. So much so that I doubted it would get much better. I held out hope that Celia is better than any subpar vintage and she came through. Again, this is not 2009 0r 2012 but it is a lot better now than a year ago. This should only improve over the next 5-6 years.

I love this wine. 93-94 Points. If the 2013 Lewis shows anything like some of the 2013 Cabs that I have already tasted, it is sure to be a Big Hit!

10/9/15, 4:12 PM - Totally agree. As good as the 12's are, the 13's I've had the pleasure to sample out of barrell are that much better. Absolutely stunning.

Drinking beautifully right now and only going to get better. Pop n poured into a decanter and drank over an hour. The more air time the better as this was singing by the last glass. Dark blue and black fruits with wonderful texture and a perfect finish. Love this guy, love this wine. Who's making better juice than Benny right now?!?!?!?!

Splash decanted for 30 minutes. Nice full nose of blackberry, briar, some liqueur notes, and a hint of balsam and earth. Pleasurable full attack on the initial taste. However the mid palate reveals a stemmy green note that is not unpleasant, but detracts from the fullness of the wine. The finish is short. Drank from a Spiegelau hybrid pinot/ cabernet glass. The lower rating reflects the poor QPR at a $150 + price point. Would not repurchase and there are better blends at 2/3 the price.
