Hour and half decant and this really opened up. Big wine that mellowed out a little after another hour in decanter while having steak at Char. Beautiful, long finish.

2 1/2 hour decant in ifavine really smoothed this out and added some extra layers to the wine.

One of the best wines I've had in a long time. So happy Realm has an estate wine that is as good as the rest of their beautiful lineup.

Better than 2014 Myriad Dr. Crane Elysium and better than Realm To Kalon '13 on the same night.

Had this with an Abreu Rothwell Hyde '12, Spottswoode '12, and Favia La Magdalena '13. This was #3 for me behind the Favia and Abreu- Spottswoode was clearly #4 tonight and a few people at the table liked the Weitx the best. It was pretty smooth from first pour to last and gained some more flavor and complexity over the next 2 1/2 hours.

Not very impressed with this wine. Nose was very green and had a hint of the same on the palate. Was expecting a lot better considering the vintage and the fact that they did not make wine the year before.

2013 is a special vintage and this wine speaks to that. This is the best Tempest I have ever had and this is the most exciting wine I've tasted in the past 6 months (Stormy Weather 2008 and 2009 are also up there). Always fun drinking Realm and this being their "entry level" wine makes it that much better. I should say I poured this through a Vinturi and let decant for an hour before rebottling and heading to The Pluckeminn Inn (the best restaurant in New Jersey) for dinner with my wife and kids.

Double aerated as this was extremely tight upon initial opening. Decanted for 2 hours and brought to restaurant for Mothers Day dinner. This was beautiful and exceptionally smooth. I only got a small glass of both this and the Corra 2012 and I thought the Tierra Roja Tor was a better wine on this night. One of my personal wine sayings is, "Corra is always WOTN"- surprisingly not tonight.

This is killer and WOTN against '07 Jack Quinn, '04 Lokoya Mt. Veeder, '01 Shafer Relentless, '11 Rothwell Hyde. '13 is really turning out to be the best vintage I've ever tasted and blowing away 12's in my opinion.

This is showing much better than it did a year ago, a lot less green and a lot more of the Celia Welch style that I love. Not quite the weight of her other vintages but that is to be expected when drinking any 2011.

A little disappointing- maybe my hopes were too high. No formal notes as I drank this a few months ago and never updated my library. I do remember it being the third of 3 wines. The others were Corra '12 (WOTN) and a Spottswoode (not sure about the vintage). All wines were decanted and drank over a 2 hour dinner.

This has never not been a WOTN for me. Double decanted through aerator and let sit in decanter for 3 hours before rebottling and bringing to Girasole. Also had an M Etain '12, Favia Rompecabeza '12 and 2 Chardonnays (Lewis Reserve '13 and Aubert SC '11). I hope I can hold off on the rest to actually see this wine thru its life cycle.

Drinking beautifully right now and only going to get better. Pop n poured into a decanter and drank over an hour. The more air time the better as this was singing by the last glass. Dark blue and black fruits with wonderful texture and a perfect finish. Love this guy, love this wine. Who's making better juice than Benny right now?!?!?!?!

Unfortunately pop n poured into decanter and drank over a couple hours. Nose of dark chocolate, mocha and licorice. The fruit didn't really show up until the last glass. Beautiful texture but still a bit hot with a long alcoholic finish. This needs to be decanted for at least 3 hours or better yet hold for at least 2 more years. Probably jump 2-3 points with more cellar time.
