Perfect timing for this wine. Drank wonderfully. Had a 2016 Tomahawk right after it, and it needed more time in the bottle, and even then I think the 2012 was a much weightier wine.

Drink this with anything. Can't wait to drink the 2007 in my cellar. And just for you Colin:
Immediately expressive as soon as it is poured into the glass. Scents of ripe red and black cherries dominate the nose with touches of fig, caramel and fresh herbs. The wine unfolds in the glass for hours revealing dense bright fruits, smooth toasty oak and dusty tannins. The finish starts boldly and then slowly softens on the back palate. This wine should be enjoyed after 2 hours of decanting.

Appropriately aged. Robust but smooth. Tannins laid down after 20 minutes and wine continued to improve as bottle was finished. Earthy.

Drank this last year. Robust wine that needed more time in bottle. Have 3 more bottles, so will space them out.

Wish I had let it open for 2 hours before drinking, rather than drinking within 2 hour afte opening. Glad to have drunk a storied wine, but definitely have had better, especially considering the cost.

This is the best wine I have had from Chimney Rock in the 17 years that I have been a Palisades Club member. Awesome mouth feel and texture, deep layers, soft yet bold. I truly loved this wine.

Very nice 80/20 blend (cab/mer) from one of my favorite wineries. Excellent wine. Wouldn't mind having a few of these in the cellar to drink 5-10 years from now.
The body is medium/full. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Happy with that. Perfect blend of tannins and fruit, bold and smooth. Napa Cab at its finest. So glad to have discovered this wine. Www.zeitgeistcellars.com

I do love this blend - great character and tannins, but softens after 30 minutes decanted and so easy to drink.

Should be a higher rated wine - textured, complex but silky smooth. Just learning Haut-Medoc, but impressed so far with taste and value.

Sharing what I found online:
The vineyard of Chateau Peyrabon has a terroir of sand, gravel, clay and limestone soils. The vineyard is planted to 60% Cabernet Sauvignon , 35% Merlot , 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot . On average, the vines are close to 25 years of age.

Had higher expectations for this CdP. Costco's wine buyer has had a great run recently, supplying quality CdP in the $30-40 range. Have enjoyed al the others, but this one lacked character, featured less fruit, was thinner and a little chalky. But still all in all, a good bottle of wine, I'll just be choosing other CdP for the same price.

Bought 4 btls. First btl didn't impress me that much, seemed a little strange. Let the 2nd btl breath longer and it was impressive. Unique flavor, elegant and layered. Small batch, family owned winery. A few years in the btl should improve it, so I will try to sit on my other 2 btls for awhile.
The wine looks violet colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It tastes like red currant and prune. The body is full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

Don't know why, but I approached this wine with low expectations and stumbled away smiling. Predictable Chimney Rock quality - the straight SLV Cab Sauv is one of my favorite wines, so blending a little Merlot from the same vineyard just gave it an accent, a little lighter, floral flavor on the back end. Needs 30+ minutes to open, a couple of hours would be better. Should store well.

The Petite Verdot makes it interesting. Great nose, peppery start, vanilla smooth middle then spicey finish.

Wonderful surprise. Lots of hype around a lot of small releases, but not all deliver. This one did. Big wine. Structured. Full mouth feel, but round and smooth. Glad I got 4 so that I can sit on 3 for a few years. Can't wait.

Bought it at auction for son-in law because he was born in 1982 and gave it to him for his 33rd birthday. We were so pleased that is wine had been preserved so well and drank so wonderfully. Will now go buy a later vintage version to compare. Not a premier grand Cru, but certainly a fine wine.

I'm a Dedication fan, have had about 10 bottles since introduction to Schweiger 3 years ago, but was not as impressed with this 2010 - great wine, just not super special. Will open sit on my other 3 bottles for a few years to see if ageing helps.

I've held this wine since 2006 and thought perhaps it might have been mishandled along the way, but it did not disappoint. Five mins after decanting the tannins laid low and the lingering, layered and complex finish delivered on expectations. Recommendations were to drink 2009-2015, so I did, but this would have lasted another 5-10 years. Thanks Bob for the Napa Bachelor Debauchery Tour back in 2006.

Have you had Mexican mole sauce, with about 100 different spices? This wine has so many flavors I couldn't begin to describe. I am so pleased I stumbled upon this wine.

Spicy on the tip, soft on the finish. After 6 years in the bottle, this in is perfectly timed. Won't sit long on the other 5 bottles in the cellar.
