2013 Ravines Wine Cellars Pinot Noir Finger Lakes
I'm all over the place with this wine. This is the same bottle I coravined in December and wrote my last note on. Perhaps it's that it was coravined but my notes would be very different on it tonight. Great wine, but very little fresh fruit and all earth, Brett, forest floor, leather, and dried fruit. This is my fourth note on this wine and they might as well be describing different wines each time. It's actually kind of cool that I can't quite pin it down. Two more bottles to go, though, and with the Coravin who knows how many tasting notes.

12/20/18, 2:28 PM - I had the same competing experience in trying a second then a third bottle of Ravines 2013 Pinot Noir. No Coravin on my end.

    12/30/14, 3:18 PM - hello my friend!
i am hesitant to put a time frame on this wine in particular as I would believe you have a better grasp on 1.) time frames for half bottles in general and 2.) time frames on Brunellos. I wish I could help out, but the only half bottles I own are dessert wines (and mostly riesling). I do believe your question of whether the drink window of 2013-2018 is appropriate is worth asking for this wine. Seems it should have a longer period of drinkability.
