Rich, layered flavor profile and structured tannins. Notes of dark fruit like blackberry, plum, and black cherry, along with hints of spice, leather, and smoke. Suggest holding this one for another 5 yr min to fully develop its flavors and complexity.

Rich, full-bodied flavor profile and well-structured tannins. Notes of dark fruit like blackberry and black cherry, along with hints of spice, tobacco, and oak. At this point, the 2011 Reynvaan Stonessence is drinking well, with a mature character and a well-balanced palate.

Nose was unbelievable! chocolate, black fruits, toasted spice, and plums. But what followed was a overly acidic/acute + astringent. Needed to be paired with meat or cheese, full-bodied and concentrated on the palate.

Showing well, nose was nice and floral hint of spice. Palate was shorter than what I would have expected, dominated by the grenache but the hints of the Milton Freewater cab were there and unmistakable. New world blend in the old world style.

Wow, just wow. I think there are about 5 or maybe 6 different varietals in this one. Franc, malbec, durif, carmenere, petit verdot, cab and merlot. Just my best guess of this kitchen sink blend.

Raspberry, cherry aromas that lead to fruit flavors, little astringency on the mid-palet, big tannins, really big tannins!

Cork was leached, but the bottle was not spoiled

Plums, dried herbs, cherries, and black tea. The wine is medium-bodied, supple and succulent, with fine tannins.

Paired wonderfully with ribeye that had Tom Douglas's Rub w/ Love.

Agree w/ David James. This bottle needed more time to mature.

Great nose, smooth palate. Raspberry, blackberry, cherry are spot on. The M in GSM is still prevalent. The smokiness has laid down and is a finer note now.

Paired with veal at Au Petit Marguary in Paris. Decent cherry, spice and tobacco notes, limited finish. Would have loved heavier blend of Merlot in this bottle.

Big and bold. Glad the later vintages moved away from this 5 grape blend and have removed the Malbec. It is personal, but I feel this grape flattens the finish too much.

Nose: Post pour nose is very saline and musky. 2 minutes later, it is not over done and soft, but can be detected from a foot away, like a prom date.

Mouth Feel: Pleasant and expressing a full swarm menthol effect, then mellows and lingers for a long f’ing time people

Taste: Pungent, but done in milliseconds (aka, no tannins folks)

Flavor Profile: Mineral, bing cherry blood notes with distant rocks (aka Stonesessence)

Finish: Long and resembling of the 36 month aging

Beautiful floral nose (some what like Stoneessence as its the neighbor vineyard), smooth plate of minerals, light meat and smoke. Higher acidity right now that hopefully will bed down with age. All in a fabulous wine.

This one pulled the wagon and is now an index point for all to be compared to going forward. Intense nose. Great layers with tannis that are already starting to laying down (don't know if I would cellar this vintage much longer). Finish is long. Paired with both a 1000 day aged gouda and parm/gouda.

Nose: Meh….funky kale
Palate: Acute leathery slap to the mid-palate with herb finish. The Beeeher’s cheddar was nice though :)
Summary: 2 left in my cellar, anyone want them?
