Out of mag. In a weird spot. Very thin mouthfeel and yet lots of high tones. Some absolutely loved this, I did not. At first I thought maybe it was flawed based on the lack of palette stuffing , but it showed fine to everyone else at the table, and no traces of green elements, premox, or tca.

So much fruit still left here, but starting to integrate very well. Still much upside.

This bottle was like drinking lemon juice with razor blades and brine. And I usually love the racier bottles.

making monday birthdays fun: Scared of the cork, but it was perfect this time. Stellar bottle.

making monday birthdays fun: This was very good, but the table agreed, it was a difficult bottle to drink next to the rest of the lineup that night. Not exactly what you'd want to do bong hits of.

making monday birthdays fun: This is my last bottle, and I am very sad about that

Unshakable note of some tropical fruit. Papaya or something. It lingers. I really hope this is just a bad bottle. 85 points.

Very delicious, but not particularly different than the rest of Alex's wines, or stand out for the vintage.

It's a real shame this juice is pushing $300 now. This is very, very good!

This is very good. But it's not $135 good, or whatever the current prevailing price is.

Unrefined and bland, which is basically the opposite of what I expected for this village and vintage.

This has enough fruit and depth to go places (for a spat)

Farewell, and good riddance, 2020.: Love this as an every day drinker champagne (or as a no regrets "we've had too much but still want more to drink" pull, as it were on NYE)

Farewell, and good riddance, 2020.: An excellent wine in its own right, but struggled to show next to the same vintage H-N Clos Vougeot. This has a long life left ahead of it.

Farewell, and good riddance, 2020.: Always terrified of the cork, but still a stellar showing. Possibly WOTN.

Farewell, and good riddance, 2020.: This is a beast of a wine, but from magnum, it's going to need far longer to develop. Great showing, but in a little bit of an awkward phase from the initial racing acidity to something more colorful and integrated.

Completely shut down. Like so shut down, you’re not really sure if it’s ever going to be open for business. So you poke your head in/peer in through the window, and then you wonder if it was ever actually open for business to begin with.

This is a big fat tart green apple. It is very good cold, and that's where this tasting note ends.

Don't drink it anytime soon, because this wine, right now, isn't representative of we love in these wines.

This has crazy good upside. Shame the price is 50% higher than the prior vintages.

Simply stunning. Disgorged Mar 2016. Fresh, taught backbone, yet enough of that Selossian maturity to be exciting.
