as others have posted, these tannins are not going anywhere. definitely a food wine. after a couple hours in the decanter, they softened a bit. The tannins will outlast the fruit, so drink over the next few years. a powerful Barbaresco to say the least

there was quite a bit of funk on the nose that took some time to dissipate. eventually it did to reveal gravel and earth which was quite nice. beautiful dark fruit and smooth tannins.

initially had a strange finish. almost a fake finish that was quite off putting. that faded some, but it was distracting to me. decent red blend but I had higher hopes

Classic syrah notes on the nose, but new world on the palette. Very smooth and well made. Big fruit but plenty of acid. The sweet tannins on the finish knocked a few points off for me, but others may really like that
