We drank the bottle over a course of two days. Pretty similar to the past bottles with same core of crunchy cranberry still present. It's a mix of something plush around the edges yet still the core of tartness and some tannin that gives the wine contrast. I remain virtually the only one with notes here on the wine so as always one can take my comments with a grain of salt but I do have multiple bottles open now to date and still think the wine is fighting some within its parts.

Pour une rare fois je n'ai pas été capable déceller la signature Rougeard car elle était absente. Dans les faits, le concencus général était Pinot Noir.
Ceci dit, le vin présente une finesse remarquable. C'est soyeux, délicat, aérien avec des saveurs de fraises des champs. Le vin possède une bonne acidité avec une finale moyennement longue.
Niveau structure, ce vin est impeccable, par contre ce n'est clairement pas un Rougeard ou un Cab-Franc typique alors il perd quelque points pour cette raison.
C'est tout de même un excellent vin !

Encore très primaire sur un pourpre foncé. Au nez c'est riche, ca sent le Cacao. Par sa richesse, il me fait penser a un Cru Barolo âgé ou un Bolgheri.
En bouche belle concentration, aucune lourdeur, du fruit mure, belle touche végétale bien subtil, on remarque une légère évolution vers des notes secondaires mais rien de bien marqué. Équilibre a point et merveilleuse longueur en fin de bouche.
Bref une bouteille bien différente des autres mais tout aussi agréable.
Comme toujours, La Folie Lucé c'est sublime...pour 35$ c'est d'une complexité hors pair !

However, unlike the vintages that normally feel ready to be released after 7 years of aging, this wine was still in shambles in 2013 when the wine was supposed to be released, which is why the winery decided to postpone the release for a year. And then another. And yet another. Finally, the wine was ready for release in the spring of 2017. 14% alcohol. Decanted for a few hours before tasting the wine.

Somewhat translucent and slightly developed dark cherry color with a hint of maroon and a pale, clear rim. Somewhat sweet-toned but otherwise rather mute nose with very little distinction - vague dark fruits and nothing much else. The wine is ripe, full-bodied and somewhat sweet-toned on the palate with quite reticent flavors of cherry marmalade, some sour cherry bitterness, a little bit of raisiny dark fruit and a slightest touch of balsamic VA. The wine is moderately high in acidity with quite soft and gentle tannins. The finish is ripe and quite sweet-toned but also somewhat underwhelming with rather short flavors of wizened black cherries, some earthy tones, a little bit of plummy dark fruit, light smoky tones and an autumnal hint of damp leaves.

A surprisingly reticent and underwhelming effort for a Musar. At first the wine was so mute that almost everybody assumed the wine was corked. However, the wine slowly opened up over the course of the evening and never once exhibited any TCA aromatics, so we chalked up the dumb nature of the wine as bottle variation, which certainly isn't unheard of when it comes to Musar. Nevertheless, it is always possible that the wine was corked so very slightly that the notes of TCA were beneath the threshold of detection, but still enough to mask the fruit. Whatever the case, this was among the least impressive wines in our vertical of Musar 2012-1997 and not really worth the price at 33,40€.

Probablement le blanc le plus acide jamais bu, très très Chablis/assyrtiko. Le vin n'est pas très jasant, un peu de poire et de pêche, belle puissance et longueur notable. Une très belle surprise.

The nose was wonderfully spicy and floral, reminding me quite a bit of the 2012, yet amplified, as crushed strawberry tones, melded with roses, violets and rosemary. On the palate, I found soft, feminine textures with red berry fruits, inner florals, grippy tannins and hints of spice. The finish was long showing dried red berries in a fight to maintain dominance against the wine’s saturating fine tannin. This is quite a wine, and with a long life ahead of it. The San Lorenzo makes for an excellent substitute if this vintages Monvigliero slipped through your fingers.

Superbement digeste et gouleyant, l`archétype du vin de soif.
Il est fait de 40% Alvarelhão, 30% Pedral, 25% Borraçal et 5% Vinhão.
Le nez est sur les fruit noirs et les épices avec un peu de fumée.
En bouche, fort sympa. Des framboises, des mures, de l`anis et une pointe de minéralité.
Finale de belle longueur et super fraiche.
IMPECCABLE.

Sans avoir une grande longueur, la palette aromatique est superbe, large, fraîche, nette, à la fois locasse et fine, suave, avec un taux d’alcool contenu, çe qui mérite une mention d’honneur dans le Roussillon.

Compared to the "La fiole du Pape" that we drank (I was forced) side by side it was a stunner: Nice, deep color, medium- intense nose, still fruity and not overly complex, high alc of 14,5% was perfectly integrated. Very velvet, smooth taste. But it lacked a bit of complexity and tension for me. Therefore mixed feelings. Drinks nicely now, but I guess it will continue to improve for the next 5+ years.

The acidity might not be high enough for it to be amazing at a high age of 15 years or so, but it has very good length and compared to the other wines of the vintage is quite powerful on the nose. Very good intensity, this one is really cheap! Very good value!!

Drank at the end of a long get together watching Championship Sunday. The Patriots were putting the final touches on beating the Steelers when we cracked this one with some aged cheeses.

All I can say is that this is an excellent and classic dry white Pessac.

Lots of tropical fruit, honey, spice and floral elements.

Plenty of structure and a long finish.

This wine can easily age another decade .

Finally, the bottle disappeared quickly, always a good sign.

This bottle represents one of the best life experiences of my life. And to match the occasion, it's probably one of the best bottles of Zinfandel I've ever had.

Blue fruits especially blueberry, blue flower particularly violet. Smooth, integrated, low acid, long lasting. Everything comes together into one whole.

From magnum. Sitting in my passive cellar for 30+ years with price tag of $25.25 still on it (oh those were the days). Medium cherry red with no browning. Beautiful nose of cherry, earth, cedar and floral elements. Drank at our annual holiday lunch by 10 serious imbibers and enjoyed by all. Wonderful refined palate with lovely fruit, floral elements, lead pencil, earth and cedar. Long finish with beautiful balance.

Nez sur des arômes de vieille barrique, beaucoup d'acidité et surtout d'amertume.
On n'a pas vraiment détecté quel était le problème mais il y en avait un.

Le bouchon le plus desséché à vie! Il s'est défait en milles miettes...
Visuellement, aucune trace d'évolution... La robe est rubis intense, au cœur violacé. Au nez, boite à épices, cerise noire et coulis de fruits noirs. La bouche est épicé, avec des effluves de fruits noirs bien mûres, la texture est soyeuse, les tanins sont polis et on sent une très très légère sucrosité, apporté par le fruit parfaitement mûrie. Le vin détient une bonne acidité qui lui aide à conserver une certaine fraicheur. jolie persistance (~15-18 sec). Très bon rapport Q/P.
