This was terrific. It certainly filled all the expectations for a Morgon, and 2015 seems to be a very good year. It offered a wonderful (and I believe, natural, being that it was made by M. Foillard) bouquet of flowery scents and tastes, but with a bit of age on it. I wish I had more bottles - that was it. I had a plan to age this longer, but with shelter in place ongoing, no chance.

Really delicious. I was worried because the cork fell apart upon trying to open it and then the wine looked fairly bricked as I poured it into a decanter. However, this wine could not have tasted more lively and fresh! For a 19-year-old wine, it still had some delicious fruit, the tannins were calm (but not too calm), and it kept getting better with air. I suppose there might be more noble and serious Barolos, but this hit all the marks for sheer deliciousness. Great with grilled lamb chops.

I loved this. It tastes like a field blend, which perhaps it is. Every sip seems to reveal a different aspect. I found myself lost in the taste of it and forgot what dinner companions were talking about. It is not cheap, but then it does deliver a quality on par with the best white wines I've had from other regions in France (e.g., Burgundy, although I can't say I've had one of the megastar wines from that region that cost four figures).

This is wonderful if you like a fairly dry Prosecco. So good you want to drink glass after glass. Has a refreshing bite to it, but then also offers a very natural-tasting fruit heft. Golden in the glass. Made everyone happy.

flawed
This bottle may have been flawed as it had a slight corked taste to it. Or, it may be getting past its prime, which makes me think I should drink up the other bottles soon. In any case, it was not as lovely and superb as the previous bottle. Some of the corked taste faded with air so the wine became drinkable, but it was still present.

Certainly a very pleasing table wine for the price. This is a good one to have around for pizza and simple pastas or burgers. It has a lot more character than most (maybe all Italian) wines at this price range - maybe too much for some. It does not taste factory-made.

Benchmark Regnie from Guy Breton. This struck me as a little unyielding, but still good in its way. It tasted better with a slight chill on it.

Good. A little thick...nothing memorable, but good. Seemed like it would not open up. I look forward to trying it again in a year or so.

I think this one of my favorites of the natural wines from Beaujolais. Not as sour as others; beautiful fruit flavors and a pleasant freshness and body. Very good now, but it could be cellared for a 2-3 years.

Pleasant drinking wine. Lots of interesting flavors in this sort of field blend. I found it to be a good value. It's not perhaps a standout wine, but offers nice balance and flavor for drinking with red meats or just on its own.

Very enjoyable, and a good choice with (and in) cheese fondue, which is how we consumed it. Apple tastes, mountain air, nice warming quality.

A little plonky, but certainly a satisfactory, fairly-priced wine to drink if you want a Sonoma or Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. We used it for making cranberry sauce as well as drinking over a few days.

Pleasant wine, maybe even exceeding expectations. It went well with Thanksgiving turkey. It falls on the fruitier, almost candied side for Pinot Noirs, but not in an unpleasant way. It tastes good and has good body. I have one more bottle that I might let sleep for a couple of years to see if it changes.

This was one of the wines we served for Thanksgiving and IMO it was a good choice. It is "simple" in that it emphasizes good ingredients and good drinking - it's delicious and easy to drink with lots of things, including the standard Thanksgiving feast of foods. But not simple in an annoying or cheap way. Long live good (perhaps "natural") Gamay from Beaujolais. I am a big fan.

Did not like it at first - perhaps too New World compared to wines I've been drinking from France. However, once I got France out of my mind, I began to enjoy this more. It's got a rugged beauty that lingers. In some ways it doesn't develop much past a certain point. It is a pleasant drink though. Will look for more.

I have to admit, I'm crazy about this wine. Perhaps a little over-priced. But, it is delicious. It tastes unusual. It's an extremely satisfying red wine that opens up more and more the longer it is open. Very fine fruit, not hot but cooler. Kind of exquisite for what it is. I can't drink this stuff every night at this price, but I would if I could. I am going to try not to touch my other three bottles for a while; I understand it ages well. Sure tastes good young though.

Lives up to the memory of drinking this in San Gimignano, right down to the cute cork that has an image of the town's towers. I guess in the larger scheme of things this is not a super great wine - I've had more flavorful Vernaccia. But it is pleasant and goes nicely with food. Not overly sweet, which is nice.

Very well made. I had around the same time as the 2015 Domaine de la Janasse Cotes do Rhone, which I liked better. Maybe if I hadn't had that so close to this one, I'd have enjoyed this more. It was not quite as good. Cooler, somewhat less robust tastes, IMO. If you like a little bit more subdued CDR, this might be a good choice.

Very good, certainly better than your average Cotes du Rhone. A good value. Has some of that leathery, sun-drenched quality of wines from that region, but with more depth of interesting fruit than most.

Very much enjoyed this. It does have a creaminess that I associate more with Burgundy wines, as the KLWM description said. But, for the most part it tasted like wine from the Loire - tasted the grass, the river, the atmosphere in this wine. It has fullness but also some bite. This would be a good wine to have a stash of as it tastes like it would go well with lots of different foods.

I'm trying to like this wine but I'm not quite on board. Maybe it is a wine to drink very young - and so, drinking a 2014 vintage in 2019 is not a good idea. I hope to try again with this wine, but next time I'm drinking it as soon as I buy it! And it should probably be consumed in one night. It was not better the second or third nights. Perhaps as a natural wine it is not set up to stick around long after the bottle has been opened.

It has the intriguing, earthy flavors with medium body that I enjoy in good quality Beaujolais wines.

I probably waited a tad too long with this one or did not store it at the proper temperature because it had a some "over-the-hill" tastes to it upon opening. However, fortunately we decanted it and let it breathe for a good three hours and it came around nicely. Some delicious aged fruit flavors and strong, leathery tannins crowded out the off flavors. So, in the end it was a delicious Brunello. I kind of wish I'd opened it a couple of years ago though.

It did not have a ton of length, but the texture and taste were still grand. I would look for this wine again in a more recent vintage, for sure.

This wine is kind of a find. Very decent QPR. At first it didn't seem like a lot was going on with this wine - just sort of an acceptable, inoffensive red. But it opened up into a much more interesting wine over time. It would pair well with a variety of things; we had it with grilled meats and it was a good pairing.

This fits the bill if you're in the mood for a red wine from Beaujolais. It's ready to go. It sings with purity and terroir. It did not strike me as a wine with a lot of complexity. More about joy and immediacy. However, it does balance itself as it breathes and takes on some Burgundian dimensions. Maybe I should be more patient with the next bottle.

Very good. I certainly endorse M. Brégeon's work in raising the pedigree, if that's the right word, of Muscadet. This is a classy wine with lots of nuance, depth, and resonance on the palette. It improves with air - it's much more than just a quaffer with oysters. Actually, I would like to try it with oysters. We had it with roasted pork, which may not be the optimal pairing but it went deliciously with it.

It had a few off flavors, but overall a wine with body and substance. Nice texture, made with 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah.

Good as a simple summer quaffer. Actually, it gained a little more of a spectrum of fruit flavors on the second day. It's a pleasant wine, maybe not worth the $17 I paid for it, but pleasant. Sort of like drinking a Corona.

I thought this was an interesting wine but my wife did not like it at all. She pushed it away. And true, it was somewhat sour, with almost more body than one would like for this kind of wine. But, like so many white wines, it improved in the glass and was actually more enjoyable less than ice cold. It's better with some chill on it but not so cold that the flavors do not open up. Otherwise, yes, sourness might dominate. For wine aficionados it's interesting just to taste the Manseng grape blend, which is unusual.

This is a solid Cotes du Rhone Villages. Good value. It's more smooth than hot and spicy, which may be a vintage factor. I would buy more of this to have around and it should age nicely for a few years.

Not super impressive, but delightful for the most part. Tasted ready, but just in case there’s more to come I think I will let my remaining bottle sleep a little longer.

Very light wine - got a little lost paired with a heavily spiced seafood stew. If with fish, I think this would be better paired with a more straightforward piece of fish or simpler shellfish treatment. Or maybe just with some cheese. I like it - it has integrity. No fake flavors. This tastes real, with delicate fruit flavors.

Pretty classic Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. If this is what you want, this is what you'll get. I can't say it was remarkable or distinctively good, but it delivers the slightly hot, but cool fruit-forward style.

This is very good, one of the best Chianti Classico I've had in a while. This would be one to stock up if it's still available (2015 vintage). It had everything I look for in a Chianti Classico and seemed to get better with air. I'll be a return customer of this one.

I'm not sure this quite lived up to the price tag, but it was a good wine. It seemed a little flat - but good-tasting flat. I wonder with further aging it might have taken on some more interesting characteristics. Or perhaps a better food pairing that would bring out its Corsican terroir.

Really good Chianti Classico. It could age further and might take on some of the older Chianti flavors that I enjoy, but it is quite good now. For the price ($25), this should be good. A 2015, it offers lively fruit and a nice spectrum of flavors.

The Grenache is strong here. Lots of fire when first opened, it settled after an hour into kind of a mellow, medium-bodied wine. It's delicious. We had it with barbequed tri-tips; it seemed a little underwhelming paired with the steak, but delicious nonetheless. This might be better paired with a different sort of spice and dish.

Very spritzy, almost like soda pop. Pretty good flavors, but rough, like a real country wine, which perhaps is exactly what it is. However, it grew on me, and the spritz mellowed over time, allowing the flavors to come forth and balance it out. Not sure I'd buy it again, but I am intrigued by Ms. Balagny's wines, particularly by their otherworldly purity, so I probably will. Price point seemed a little high.

This was somewhat corked so that made the bottle disappointing. It was otherwise a pretty interesting wine, much more so than most Muscadets I've had. I wish it hadn't been flawed. We drank it anyway, but I felt bad because I had brought it to a dinner party. Note to self: Don't bring this wine to a dinner party ever again. Well, I have one more bottle; I hope the remaining one is better and not flawed. This wine had promise.

Corked. Too bad...was very interested in this wine. We drank the bottle because well, I'm from the "waste not want not" school, but I couldn’t really judge it due to its flawed, off taste. It did seem to have richness of body and depth that I wasn't expecting for this type of wine.

This was spectacular, especially with roasted lamb. This is my first 100-point wine in Cellar Tracker. It's deserved.

I admit given the auction prices I've seen for this wine it was kind of hard to drink this. Why not sell it? I bought it upon release, so the gain would have been big. But, I had to try this masterpiece by Noel Verset. It was somewhat harsh and wild when first opened - and never fully mellowed. It's a wild animal. But it did begin to reveal a pure, beautiful core, the essence of Syrah, and over time that became the dominant quality of the wine. Around this core was smoke, spice, rock, and earth. Great wine.

Rather a strong, heavy, big blast of Grenache kind of wine. This is no kitten. It tastes like sun-based Provence or Southern Rhone. So, as a "house wine" it probably does not work because it'll overwhelm a lot of food pairings. Perhaps it is a red meat wine. I grew to like it quite a bit though, after a lot of breathing. Obviously well-made, with good grapes and juice. And offered at a fair price.

Very good, enjoyed by all to accompany a lamb concoction for dinner. This has lots of flavor; in its early stages, it's a little imbalanced in the sour cherry direction, but with some air it gains body and balance. I liked it so much that I bought another bottle. I feel like it was a little expensive, but I guess with French wines becoming more expensive generally, $33-$35 for this is not outrageous. Just expensive enough to make me go back and buy one more bottle, not three.
