I thought that being Cab Franc (which I love) and labelled as dry, I would love this. It is very pink, which often spoils a Rose for me, much preffering the barely pinks from Provence, however, what we both found very disappointing for us was how sweet it was. So sweet after one glass we drank no more. A disappointing buy.

9/28/21, 4:47 PM - Hi Epiphany: I have not tried the 2017 and 2019 so I cannot help with a comparison. Did you find the 2017 and/or 2019 to be sweet? It is a matter of taste and we have spent a lot of time in the Provence area so I guess our taste buds are influenced by what we taste there and enjoy. I never really enjoy sweet wine unless it is meant to be a desert wine.

So delicious, 11.5% abv, lovely rosé of PN, sappy fruit, bright acid, with a vein of minerality. It is "just right".
Drink through 2022...note to self: buy this by the case in the future.

This bottle very tired and frousty tasting. Nasty aroma and difficult to drink with such a bad smell.!

My wife and I try to agree a score on our evening wine. Her comment about this was it is very acidic has no fruit and the smell of this wine is not nice. I drank my glass, I would agree that it was difficult to find the fruit but I thought the smell just bland and lacking fruit. I see others thought this wine was good and mine has been kept in ideal conditions. Maybe this bottle was off but we tossed it away.

A little light but pleasant enough for a pretty cheap Italian wine that does taste characteristically Italian.

Color is super pale salmon. Notes of watermelon rind, no red fruits or strawberries. An imperceptible hint of minerality. Strong alcohol aftertaste. Definitely not a good value for the price. Although the wine is unctuous in the glass, it is very watery and light bodied in the mouth. This is a wine I would not pair with food as I cannot think what it would be able to complement or stand up to. Best drunk on its own on a very hot summer day when you want your thirst quenched.
In my view, 2015 is a disappointing year for rose in general...

2/5/17, 4:52 PM - Cote de Provence rose is always very pale pink, and from you comment I was not sure if you are aware of this as it seemed to be reported as a defect. I know that American rose and rose from the Loire is often much darker in color. I thought that this was atypical of the wine of the area and while not for me in the 90's was not far off. I go to the south of France quite a lot and this was up to the standard you would expect. Not a "draft" rose from the local cooperative and a step up.

I appreciate that we were drinking this before the start of its window, but on day one it was so full of tannins, charcoal that we could not do it justice. On day 2 after decanting overnight it was smooth and full of very dark fruit. I will keep the other bottles a few years.

Garnet coloured in the glass; getting ripe crushed cherries and blueberries on the nose. The palate is very friendly with some more red and blue fruits along with some hints of coffee. Smooth and the tannins are just about non-existent. Drinking very well as it is.
