Drank with a roast capon, Lucques mashed potatoes, a sauce made from the pan drippings and purreed capon liver and a nicely dressed salad.

Well, I neve thought I would say this for a Kosta Browne wine....I really liked it. Well, I have really liked the 4-Barrel I have tasted before, but that was basically a one off.

Anyway, who knew? It was a bit like a cherry cola for a while but it evolved in to a nice fruit, some spice and nice finish wine. Even the oak was come close to being properly in balance. I'll rate it 89-90 points. If only I knew that this might be what evolved in to a KB, I might not have sold off the bulk of my holdings. Still, I am glad those other bottles gave other folks who embrace thestyle the proper respect those that enjoy the stuyle deserves. Still, I am still a bit shocked -- it tasted nice. 89-90 pts.

Not bad, but nothins special. Fruits are somewhat muted and the structure of the wine created a bit of a wall to get around to even try to enjoy it. 83-84 pts.

Very nice wine, reminds me of a New Zealand SB. A bit racy and obvious, but delicious and good. 89-90 pts.

Wow. This is a great little wine. Loads of fruit (white peaches, some apple and pear, a little white nectarine, some grape), I was worried the sweetness might be offputting, but the acidity came in to keep it all balanced. Had this with some pretty mild indian food. Oh and the minerality was right up my alley -- small smoothe river pebbles (with no muck or moss or mud). 90 points.

2007 is quite a nice vintage in ORegon and this wine does not disappoint. While not terribly complex, it delivers layers of different fruits - plums, red cherries, black raspberry -- and difficult to quite identify spices. Nice finish, too. Very solid effort. 88pts.

Just great. This wine is, I think, 100% Syrah, but I could swear there is Viognier in it, and maybe even something else. It had a very small production run (20 cases!), but it is delicious! Brief white flower aromas give way to a wine loaded with deep plum flavors with brown spices and a tinge of blackberry. While the wine is delicious, it could be better if the finish were not as 'syrup'-y as it was. I am splitting hairs because it was not at all overly extracted, sweet or syrupy, but that is the best word to describe what I didn't like about the very end of the finish. Otherwise, these folks who make it should be given a pat on the back. Nice wine! 89pts.

Nice wine! Unexpectedly good. Had tasted it back in Oregon in September 2009, but this was a pleasant surpise. Wonderful fruit, a good nose and a great finish. Long and complex with 'green' spices to complement the gobs of refined fruit (no over the top syrupy extracted stuff here - yay!). 90.5 pts.

Great little wine -- I'll pile on with the comments of black raspberry, some vanilla, great spiciness and a fabulous finish...I also noticed a bit of dark minerality to it, too. 90 pts.

Very good little wine, but the acid is a bit racy at this point. Needs a little time to calm down a tad. Delicious fruits and tasty, though. The fruit was your very fresh red juicy fruits, too. 87 pts.

Not bad, but pretty one-dimensional and quite abrupt on the finish. the fruit vanished after about 30 minutes. I am sure I drank this quite a bit too young, bt I expected more. 80 pts.

Time has improved this. Nice medium weight to deliver a solid core of plum, cranberry and a bit of black cherry. Nice brown spices with a brief wiff of vanilla and a well integrated finish. Very nice. 91pts

Nice and juicy, great fruit (mostly red currant, some plum), nice acidity. Nothing super complex, but great for an everyday bottle. I was pleasantly surprised given my thought that Lebanese wine was not so great. Who knew? 85pts.

Blackberries, black plums, clean river stones (think no moss or mud), some faint herbaceousness (like herbs de provence maybe?). Fairly dry finish, but juicier up front. A little too much oak for my liking, but decent. Went well with a selection of cheeses. 88pts.

Pencil lead, black cherry, a tinge of black currant, some buttercream frosting at the tip and a dose of shale and slate. All in all a remarkable effort for a winery in Maryland. Good acidity amd begging for a nice burger. I am told this comes from, believe it or not, 30+ year old Cabernet Sauvignon wines. A solid 85-86pts.

Decent burger wine. The food needs to be more powerfully flavorful than the oak in the wine. Burgers measure this up well, and the wine helps break the indulgence of the burger. Nothing special though. 84pts.

Nice wine, but not special. Good pear flavors with some vanilla and allspice. Nice enough acidity, but dominated by a load of oak. Stylistically, it's not my favorite kind of chardonnay, but it's easy to drink. My wife liked it more than I did. I'd rate it an 87, she'd probably say 90.
