Nice, bright cherry flavors. In a good place right now.

This wine is in a great place, and probably has a decade of life ahead. It has great fruit, with a bordeaux-like nose. A bit of the earth, with some dusty spice as well. this is what cabernet should taste like. More old world than new.

Showed good depth, but not as much as last Wednesday. Seemed closed and not as robust. Had this four times, and this was the worst showing.

You could really taste the Cab Franc in this. Good, but with an herbaceous note that made it only ok.

Not flawed, but not my style.

Might have been better 6 months ago. Honey, pear, grapefruit, and some spice. Really different when it warmed up--you could smell more spice and fruit. I really like this wine, but maybe a little earlier and on a warm summer day.

Tasted of roasted meats, black berry, and hard spice. Really good, and still young and vibrant.

Too easy to drink. Great fruit, strong cedar, tobacco, leather.

Really it a sweet spot right now. This wine had great color (much darker than the '94 Arrowood we drank with it), and not fading at the edges. Typical CA fruit with some earth and dust on the nose. Went great with venison.

Ready to drink. Nice balance, good fruit and a hint of pepper. Tannins are still holding up fine, but did not cover up the fruit.

Really vibrant, with a pure (not overpowering) core of fruit. A pleasure to drink by itself, or with food.

Tasted at Motley Cru dinner, 12/10/05. Awesome. Blew away the '97 Montelena. Big wine, but surprisingly integrated and approachable. Glad I have some more of this.

Drunk with Mike Beltz. Typical Napa mountain fruit. Good for an off vintage, not spectacular.

This wine is still young. I get typical Cali Cab nose and flavor, but not the fruit forward bomb like Foley wines. Went very well with the lamb and venison. I would give it at least two more years.
