The WA94 and other positive reviews are consistent with this incredible value play via WL winetext...no formal notes, simply 'disappeared' deliciously down the gullet over the course of a weeknight pan-seared sockeye salmon meal, bravo!

About the same with high acidity/sourness but a bit smoother with clean clipped finish. Nice balance and salty-food friendly.

Similar observations, but a bit more enjoyable and friendly with our meals over 2 days. Minty eucalyptus was either slightly subdued or just expecting it helped… the light style makes one wonder as it’s quite unlike any Mourvèdre we consume on a fairly regular basis.

Very similar, fights certain foods due to the strong fruit flavors and toasty oak, enjoyed it more with small bites or alone.

Very similar notes to btl #1, holding up well but last one, quite tasty w/T-Day leftovers. Solid varietally correct example and value here.

Pro and CT favorable reviews and TNs are on point. Definitely needed air time, and filtration on Day 2 due to heavy throw, even after standing for weeks. Seems built for extended aging and unlikely to fade anytime soon - CT window to 2030 may be more accurate than WS 2023 fwiw.

Killer Monday turkey and wild mushroom stuffing leftover pairing, disappeared from the glasses before we knew what happened: vanilla, cherry-berry, and mocha flavors on a solid frame with silky smooth tannins. Absolutely worth upgrade to a mid-range price point, and likely at/nearing peak drinking.

Local Sam’s Club clearance of $20 so tried 1 then returned to grab everything they had. Not the most amazing at $40, let alone $66 published in WS (91 pts) but QPR pretty killer as this is drinking quite well, especially with food.

2 hr pre-decant followed by decadent local resto pairings across courses and numerous dishes. Nose of cedar and cigar box, whiffs of blackberry mocha, taste of black currants, smokey graphite, dark chocolate, spice. Muscular yet elegant and deftly well balanced for complexity. No formal TN but clearly a hit with the table.

Not overly complex but really well balanced despite fairly high extraction and surprising blackberry and black cherry sweet fruit flavor impressions with our Mexican pork and beef covered nachos. Softly tannic, spicy, and a hit of mocha, seems squarely in drinking window.

Well balanced, clear black raspberry, smokey-dusty forest floor and herb de Provence/licorice notes. Slight barnyard funk. Soft well integrated tannins leave a delicious rustic finish. A lot to like here!

Was expecting the minty eucalyptus, which I normally enjoy, from the description on First Bottle but it does come across as too much. Also considerably thinner and much less tannic than previous renditions from many years ago. Not bad, just not what we remembered. Decent with chocolate dessert.

Nothing wrong with this offering, maybe a little fake fruit from over extraction but still pretty tasty with appetizers, plenty of sweet dark berries, dark dusty chocolate, and smooth textures with a solid backbone.

Not sure what happened with this bottle, suspect secondary fermentation given multiple ‘pops’ over 4 days and the tongue-tingles which have finally subsided. Did not get the great experience others had, but it wasn’t terrible either. So no rating here, simply too odd to judge fairly!!

Very fine WA merlot which is elegant, long and skillfully crafted. Decant at cellar temp then swirl for full experience over a few hours for impressive complexity and mocha-laced black forest cake finish to shine. JD & WA reviews got this one right. Plenty left in tank for several more years.
