Moderna spanien med Erik Grödal, Munskänkarna utbildningsdag (Restaurang Pilträdet): Inledningsvis ganska skitig med mycket dill och chark. Efterhand mer varm och kryddig med skogshallon och rosor.
Kraftfull syrlig smak med mycket viol.

Very fruity sweetish wine with a fair amount of acidity to balance. Clean and well made but without any real complexity. Very "easy drinking" mix of Grenache and Cinsault.

An old friend budget Lange rosso made from Barbera, Merlot, Freisa, and Dolcetto. Not bad - reasonably good value for the money. Aromas of cherries, plums and vanilla. Some cherry stone as well, but could be due to young age. I like this wine, simple as it is.

(Degorged fall of 2014) Light yellow colour with a youthful nose showing hazelnuts, mierals and citrus. Youthfully austere but with a wonderful creamy mousse showing a nice fresh fruity mid-palate and with an intensive but rather short finish. Best with 2-4 years extra cellaring.

    10/3/15, 9:00 AM - Thx for the reply. I have a bottle which I think has been in the cellar for 6-7 years but I'm not sure. I think we got it before starting to use CT anyway. I'll check the cork when it's popped if there's any clue there.

This is not at all costly, but it is poor. Wife dismissed it as a "grape-tainted-wine". I laughed, and agreed. Even if I drank it all, rather than pouring it down the drain. I mean, at the end of the day, after all, I'm not a barbarian :-)

But overly cherry aromas on a thin, overly acidic expression in a wine that cost almost nothing, was raised to the skies by some... At any rate, it performed no great show tonight. Tar and feathers 'R Us :-)

Length, nope.
Intensity, uhu, hardly, but . . . check
Concentration, really? . . . nope *WATERY*

This wine was a real disappointment for me. I've had the previous three vintages which were all special wines, with varying levels of intensity, complexity and spiciness. This wine was flat, one-dimensional and only worth about half the retail price. In absolute terms it is a good wine, well made, but relative to previous vintages and to its price it is a real under-performer.

    3/18/15, 8:32 AM - Aha, I understand. Strange pricing though, in Sweden (known for high prices on alcohol) it was 179SEK equal to $22. I have a bottle but haven't tried it yet.

Gyllengul färg. Söt doft som ledde tankarna till dijonsenap och räkskal (?) men också våt halm.
Halvtorr med smak av ospädd apelsinsaft och andra citrusfrukter. Bra längd.

    Maybe I'll reconcider ;-)
    There were some consensus that the bottle was flawed, but nevertheless I don't think it's my cup of tea.

Förra flaskan (2013-09-06) var definitivt defekt. Den här är riktigt bra.
Mörk frukt, läder, julkryddor, lite bittermandel i doften. I munnen strama, ganska sandiga tanniner och bra kropp. Sval känsla trots ganska hög alkohol (14%). Hyfsad längd med ett lite torrt slut.

Naturligt söta viner - Munskänkarna Tyresö: Vackert ljusgul, nästan åt det vattniga hållet. Elegant, söt doft med grape, ananas, krusbär och rabarber.
I munnen lite spritsig, precis som annan torr tysk riesling. Mycket söt (170g/l) men bra syra som balanserar. Rabarber och citrus också i smaken. Möjligen väl hög syra, kanske kan vinna på att vila några år.
Borde vara kanon till någon dessert på vårens första rabarber.

    11/20/13, 4:06 AM - I think it's very individual wether you like the vanilla/dill notes or not. I had the very same thoughts about this wine, everyone lifting it to the stars but I found it extremly unappealing. My guess is that you'll be disappointed the next time as well....

Färg: relativt ljust och genomskinligt.
Doft: kryddigt och komplext med toner av jordgubbe och fuktig skog!
Smak: fruktig och elegant med en aning bitterhet (och det i positiv mening). Rent, smakrikt och med len textur; det här vinet skulle jag säga passar bäst utan mat. Önskar jag hade köpt en flaska till...
