Wow! Drinking really nicely now, but far from done. I have one left and will try to wait 10 years for that one.

We drank this along side a 2007 Vacqueras with beef stroganoff. The Gigondas is showing nicely now, but could still use a few more years to reach it's full potential. Wish I had more, but that was my only bottle.

This is an awesome Barolo and is ready to drink right now. We bought this at Scarpa last year and I asked the now retired wine maker, Mario, to sell us his favorite Barolo and this is what he brought us. I wish we had bought more!

This is drinking well now. After a 3 hour decant, it opened up nicely.

This was OK, but not great. Light bodied with not much complexity. If you are pairing it with food, make sure it's a light dish as it won't stand up to anything too bold.

This is a good wine. Still wound a little tight on the finish. This will benefit from a few more years of bottle age.

Floral on the nose. Good structure. Tannins are fairly soft. I'm going to wait a couple of years to open the next bottle.

There was clearly oak influence on the nose. Nice fruit, but lacked the minerality I look for in a white burgundy. Maybe some bottle age will round this out a bit. Not bad, but reminded me of some California Chardonnays.

- Medium forming legs - Caramel, honey and a hint of flint on the nose. Candied apples and lemon curd on the palate. Medium bodied. Very nice!

We decanted this for 2 hours before serving. This is a little funkier than most Tempranillos, but very interesting and enjoyable. We paired it with a picadillo dish that had many layers of flavors and the pairing worked very well.

- Garnet color with a light body with a medium finish - This was a decent wine for the price, but a little disappointing for a Grand Cru burgundy. Very light bodied and not very complex. Enjoyable, but not memorable. This would be a good wine to use to introduce a white wine drinker to red wine.

- Garnet color with a medium/full body. Round texture - Decanted for 3 hours. This is drinking very nicely now. A perfect steak wine.

- Ruby color with a medium/full body - Nice Brunello. Lighter bodied than I was expecting, but perfect with our veal scallopini in lemon sauce.

We had this tonight with bacon cheeseburgers. Blueberries, blackberries and white pepper on the nose. Very good now and I think this will only get better over the next 5-10 years. Might have to get some more.

Decant for a couple hours. Once this opens up, it is a great wine. I'm going to try it again in a couple of years and stash some away for ten years. This is a really good wine

Tasted this right after the 2009. This has great potential, but needs a couple more years in the bottle to measure up to the '09.

We had this wine with mergueza sausage and it worked very well. If you still have some, I suggest you drink it soon. Decant for a couple hours before enjoying.

- Ruby color and aromas of cherry and has flavours of moldy and cherry - Bought this wine in 2012 from a boutique wine shop. Agree with other community notes. This was a decent wine, but far short of what I expect from a Grand Cru Red Burgundy. Cork was saturated 3/4 of the way up. Decanted for 2 hours, but it lacked the finesse of a fine burgundy. Had I not read other's reviews, I may have thought the bottle was damaged, but I think it's just an average wine.

Enjoyed this bottle with a sausage stuffed pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon. It is a relatively full bodied Pinot Noir that paired perfectly with dinner.
