Lychee and rose water working in perfect harmony, against a backdrop of acidity. One of the best gewurz I've had. Beautiful stuff.

Wonderfully dense & earthy. The only red we brought back, and I wish I had more!

Well made, distinctive. Earthy and vegetal. Went well with German-styled meal of pork medallions and mashed cauliflower.

Has some oxidation from age, in color and flavor. Slightly earthy, red cherries. Drink now, it won't get any better.
White
Deep golden brown color, caramelized aromas and flavors. Has changed quite a bit since a decade ago, not youthful anymore but aging gracefully. Cork shows almost no sign of age.

Very earthy, ruddy, with gentle but grippy tannins to finish. Distinctive (my first time having a Castelao). Went perfectly with savory Latin-styled cuisine (pork with rice & beans)

I'm going to bump my score from last time. This is a phenomenal value. Slightly earthy, deep berry flavors are supported by vegetal tones. If you like savory meals with vegetables, this wine is a star companion.

Decent SB, nothing outstanding. It was dry, pleasantly acidic, good weeknight sushi wine.

Excellent QPR. This is a very good NZ SB. It nails the style, definitely grapefruit but other flavors to balance. Refreshing & good with fish tacos.

This barely tastes like wine. Not sure how they manufactured this stuff. No better on day 2. May use it to cook with?

This was "OK", but not something to buy again. This is a barely-average malbec.

WA gushed about this and gave it a 91. Not feeling it. Thin, acidic, uncharacteristic flavors of Rhone reds. May have been an off bottle, but I didn't get specific off notes. Just not a good wine.

Surprised how well this has held up. Rich, distinct, vegetal and earthy with solid fruit backbone. Perfect with mezzas at Cedars Lebanese. Cheers, Mike!

Full, rich, balanced, slightly aged character. This is always an amazing Zin blend, and it was perfect with dry-aged steak, blue cheese, & mushrooms.

A decent wine but not what I expect from Tempranillo. Instead of lively, bright flavors, it's dark and muted. More like a Rhone in style.

drinkable and "delicious" - deep berry flavors. Certainly nothing complex, but a nice wine to just enjoy by itself.

Has obvious aged (oxidized) character, smooth and mellow. Won't get better, this is on the downhill.
White - Sweet/Dessert
Mature petrol aroma, deep golden color, dense mouthfeel and enough acidity to balance the sweetness. What a treat!
