Wow, this is drinking great, in such a beautiful place. I like napa cabs that peak when they are about 5 years old. Not too young, not too old. So this drinking so well at this 5 year mark makes me very satisfied.

Stunning. Absolutely beautiful. Reminiscent of a rubicon or marthas vineyard. Must be some eucalyptus trees on the property.

What a strange wine, very smooth and not tannic on the mid palate but very drying on the finish. I think they didn't give it enough oak to mellow it out and it is left perpetually awkward.

Very nice, but it is drinking very young, tannins are present but not overbearing, still needs time.

Very expressive, deep blackberry notes and black licorice star anise, menthol that was nicely integrated lifts the dark fruit, nice minerality, great purity of fruit, amazing 30 second finish.

Amazing, after the walla walla funk blew off, it revealed such beautfiul blend of dark chocolate and coffee with such amazing purity considering how much funk was on the front end. The structure is truly flawless and beautiful, like a zero gravity chair it is gently supported in all the right areas. If this was an $700 bottle of pingus, I would have no regrets on the cost. Truly amazing. I think it is nearing perfection if it wasnt for the walla walla funk on the nose for the first half hour after opening.

Beautiful, very fragrant with strawberry and sour cherry, seamless and polished.

The tannins have calmed down a bit now. At this stage they feel like rough velvet. So somewhat approachable as they arent a deal-breaker. Just some scruffy structure but in a pleasant way. The nose is a little tight, but pleasant in a elegant perfume way and slightly creamy on the finish.

Drinking great, it is in such a beautiful place right now. Right in that sweet spot where there is still great fruit, great color and it is all nicely integrated.

Past its prime. Hints of greatness but just kind of falling apart and a bit hot. Also a bit tart and light bricking.

Absolutely stunning. Beautiful and flawless throughout. It has such great concentration, amazing aromatics but still incredibly balanced. Meaning, not hot or over-ripe, something that usually comes with this kind of concentration and color. But such a beautiful extraction, its in the goldilox zone of balance, it has all the upside of deeper extractions like great color and concentration but none of the downside like being overextracted and tannic, it has the fluid silky structure of free run juice. Just amazing. Finley is a genius

beautiful nose, I was concerned it might be too young but the tannins are very tame and it is past any bottle shock, very approachable and nice. will probably develop over time but very approachable and drinking very nice right now, so go for it

91 points wine enthusiast ? WRONG !

Way too low IMO, They probably tasted it when it is was too young or just bottled and was still shocky, because I am here to tell you it is absolutely gorgeous.

Stunningly beautiful nose, perfume, rose petals, violets and cherries. Not a fruit bomb per se, beautifully restrained, but no oak or tea notes, which is a plus for me.

Such clarity and purity, you can tell there was care and vigilance on the sorting table during crush as I cant smell any shot berries or unripe or overipe raisins and no stems in this, yes, I can smell that kind of stuff, yes, I drink alot of pinot. Yes, this is the real deal, its that clean, an absolute stunner.

upgraded earlier review, must have been in bottle shock. It was really in a bad place, but now it has come around quite nicely.

yuck, wreaks of brett. Cameron, you are better than this. Sure I know you were formerly on the side of the equation of producing and declassifying wine, but you should have seriously considered de-classifying this brett infected wine. Look, you run the risk when you subcontract this stuff out, and if they give you a good price, it is a trap. You get what you pay for, when you go on the cheap and dont consider hygeine, you run the risk of brett et al. You should have dumped this stuff, but maybe it didnt make business sense. But the risk to your brand is important. On the other hand, if your demographic cant detect brett as a defect perhaps it is a stroke of biz genius.

absoluting stunning on the nose. A rich and powerfully complex wine with perfectly integrated oak. Very much alive on the nose but so beautifully mellowed structure, drinking great now, not sure how it could get better with more time. wish I had more. Call me Will so I can raid your library.

Parker gave it 97 points, but I dont think it is worthy of that. It is an extremely concentrated wine, nice dark fruit and integrated oak, but I think it lacks complexity and elegance, it tastes like you took a 90 point wine and concentrate it to make everything richer and more intense but doesnt add elegance.

the nose ! wow, what a beautiful elegant complex pedigreed nose. Lots of oak, but very well integrated, some dark cherry. The structure and finish..... meh. the structure was a little absent and what was there was tannic in an unpleasant way, light, but unpleasant. I enjoyed smelling this wine more than I enjoyed drinking. I give the nose 96 points, I give the structure and finish about a 90, perhaps that is why other people are ranking this an average of 93. Parker gave it 97, so maybe it was better at one time. It almost tastes like it may have been cooked or not temp stored properly by the time I got it a year ago, so there is a mystery of a few years of questionable storage.
Update at 2 hour decant. Much better structure and finish, adding 2 points to the finish score, so average of at least 94 points

wow, I think they call it the boxer because it punches you in the nose when you take your first whiff. Needs some decant to offgas some off notes and to settle down. But after that a very spicy nose with lots of spice and tobacco and licorice.
