Impressive! Solid structure and robust fruit. Right in its prime. My last Numanthia, respect.

Drank w some boars head grilled chorizo’s. Paired well w the spicy sausages. Drink now or save, you can’t go wrong w Clio.

Mellowed out a bit since the last one I tried in 2008. Tannins are not so much in your face. Very enjoyable.

Drank over 2 days first glass was very green tasting not as I’d expect from a st emillion. 2nd night much more enjoyable w typical dark fruit flavors. Give it some air.

Very nice color. Vibrant acidity still. Felt that the acidity overpowered the fruit though.

Still contains a lot of acidity and structure, maybe a bit too much heat, but the main flaw was that the fruit faded fairly quickly.

First glass was enticing tho. Drink soon.

Was concerned this might be past due. Pleasantly suprised it was still vibrant. Very earthly umami and deep. Prune to start but opened up over the night to be quite pleasant w xmas lasagne.

Straight up delicious. Easy drinking, flexible for food pairing, smooth.

What’s not to like. There’s much more life in this vintage. At least 2 more years. Enjoy!

Still amazing. Cellar tracker drinking window says until 2019, but this def has at least 3 more years in it. Enjoy!

Still quite a bit of life left. Drank this over two days. During the second tasting the wine had settled with pure flavors throughout. Very nice.

This has aged pretty solidly. Not sure how much time is left as a lot of the fruit has settled down, but the mid palate and finish is still strong. The high alcohol at times coys with a port-like sweetness but overall very delicious.

Spent! Waited too long for this bottle. Nose was fragrant and there is a nice meaty brunello attack but the mid palate falls flat and empty. Finish is non existent as well.

Fyi: Cork broke off upon opening.

Other than that, the mouthfeel of this wine was amazing. Such structure and viscosity. That was what initially caught my interest. Acitidy is there, but fruit was a bit lacking. Others before stated this might be closed up right now which I can agree with. Letting this get more air opened it up to be more balanced but if you can do it, wait a couple years to drink.

Very well balanced. Everything had settled into a very drinkable Bordeaux. Elegant and smooth. 2nd day leftovers were even more flavorful without spoiling.

Drank over two nights. Lucious strawberry flavor w a thin film of raspberry. Smooth finish.

Still a lot of life yet.

Second time trying this wine. First was a year or two ago and I distinctly remember a divine rose petal aroma. Age has lost that quality but still very enjoyable.

For 15 yo wine this was acceptable. Fairly well balanced in terms of structure w traditional margueax flavor profile. Nothing exceptional, was just hoping for more.

Elegant w finesse. Dark fruit not quite at it's prime but u can tell the bones are there. Will b great in a couple more years.

This was a pleasure to drink. Popped and poured into the decanter and consumed from there. Very elegant structure, smooth tannins with an acidic kick. Fruit notes weren't over bearing, not a fruit bomb by any means. That would be my only criticism: just a hint more fruit would have put this over the top.

Venerable. Rigid tannicity. Although alcohol creeps in over time. Make sure it gets some air to blow off.

Expected this to be opened up by this date and this was not the case. Needed a day in the bottle for it to open up. At that point it coincides w previous tasting notes. Still have one of these in the cellar. May wait a year or so to drink it but not much longer.

Drinking very well with a pop and pour. The 15.5% is still showing heat on the back end but it's not distracting. Smooth.

decanted and tasted after about 90 min. Fruit was a bit muted, seemed a little disjointed, but very elegant. No tannic strife. Had another couple glasses the next day and the front flavors had decided to play nice. Better than the previous day.

Better on the second night, more red fruit coming through. First night it tasted rather green.

Rich smooth mouthfeel. Enjoyed it.

Drinking _very_ well right now. Pop and poured. Gorgeous garnet color w supple mouthfeel. Fruit is a little light but eludes to a long finish with a subtle tannic grip.

rated a high for its unusual floral (think rosewater) yet spicy mouth feel...

its a rare combo, but not really food friendly except for particular situations.

worth trying for sure.

I liked this wine alot for its smooth tanins and good minerality, but i think the fruit was a little exasperated. some strawberry but could have been more balances. my thinking is that this might be fading because of age.

Was hoping this one would show better out of the gate. Was decanted for 45 min and still was burning hot with alc. strawberries showing at about 1.5 - 2 hours. 2nd day is much better displaying even some meaty tendancies. keep it in the cellar a bit longer
