Nothing deep or complex, but full throttled, forward, and enjoyable. Dark fruit, meat, underbrush, pepper, stone. Like a good Gigondas. Drinking well after 1h decant

Better than before. A bit acidic, but still with decent fruit. Some secondary floral. Probably no upside.

Solid, if not exceptional. Drinking well. Plenty of fruit, with some leather and slice. A bit on acidic side. Other than that, fairly well balanced.

Tasty. Fruit forward, rich, integrated, drinking well, but not particularly complex. Doubting whether this will develop into anything deeper. Fingers crossed

Reasonably enjoyable, but simple. Lots of primary Grenache typicity without much secondary character. Ready to drink, and probably on the downward slope.

Really surprising how good this was, especially considering past bottles. Boysenberry and strawberry fruit, with black pepper, stone and herbs. Both luscious and elegant. Perfectly resolved tannins. Balanced acidity. Drinking beautifully after 2h decant.

Seemed more muscular and primary and Rhône like upon opening, but after a couple hours some of the more delicate Burgundian characteristics started to shine through. Vibrant fruit, some earth and herbal notes, touch of well-integrated oak. Not what I expected, but delicious nonetheless. In a nice place now, but should improve

Good quality, but not particularly complex or interesting. Blackberry, cedar, for tobacco. Full bodied. Mouth coating but ripe tannins. A short decant is good, but actually starts to feel a bit flat after a few hours of air. Not sure it has the acidity to go too much further distance.

Finely made. Crisp citric minerality with decent weight and good finish. Just not that expressive or interesting. Better 3h after opening. Hunch is that this is still tight and may improve with time, although not sure if there is enough fruit there for a long haul.

Excellent. Herbal but with beautiful fruit. Some spice. Hints of graphite and earth. Well balanced with rich mid palate and nice acidic lift. Good length. Drinking really week with 2+ hr decant.

Terrific. Everything going on here - heavy minerals, anise, game, wild herbs, good ripe berry, just right amount of spicy oak, long finish. will open with age, but drinking wonderfully w/ food after 2hr decant. (A little drying on its own.)

Ready, but needs a couple hour decant. Decent fruit, tannins grippy but fine, nice stone and tobacco character, some coffee and chocolate. Feels less "modern" than it did 4 yrs ago.

Nice. Even better than last time. Forward but not overdone. Ripe dark fruit, rocks, black pepper. Slightly candy flavors but also a more wild meaty animalistic side. Plenty of acidity and tannins, but very approachable. Wish I had more, because think if has plenty of life ahead.

Extremely muted upon opening. Some flavors start to emerge after about 30 minutes in decanter, more after a couple hours, but never much character or complexity aromatically. Red fruits, light traces of rocks and herbs. Light to medium weight. Not green but not particularly ripe either. Ample acidity. Mellowing tannins. Tending toward thin and diluted. Disappointing. Perhaps provenance was an issue, but this showing certainly does not bode well for the future. Should open another bottle soon. Crossing fingers this one was just off.

Decent fruit. Lots of oak that is fairly well-integrated. Quite acidic, which gives it good lift but also too much bite. Some earth character as well. Fairly tannic. This was better than I expected based on some reviews, but still not really my thing. Seems like it could use some more time, but not sure it has the material (especially not fruit) to make it.

Stones, honey, apple, flowers. Vibrant and bracing entry, maybe a tad hollow in middle, finishes long. Somewhat silky. Good grip. Should have long life ahead. Lovely

Surprising how good this was given the vintage and producer. Singing right out of the bottle but even better 2hrs later. Loads of ripe pinot fruit, but also with great mineral, meat and spice notes. Approaching but also avoiding jammy. More complex than expected and not without a certain elegance along with its muscularity. Really enjoyable.

Fabulous. Rich and racy. Loads of berry fruit with supporting spice, cocoa and leather. Well integrated oak. Great concentration and length and acidic lift. Seems modern in style but still with elegance and complexity. Structured but easy to drink. This was singing after an hour, but would recommend much longer decant. One of the best brunello's I've had. And a crowd pleaser to boot.

strange. lots of fruit, but with a somewhat stewed character, along with a funky vegetal (as opposed to herbal) element. a medicinal streak as well, and excessive heat form the alcohol. not sure if it was a flawed bottle. definitely the least impressive thus far. wondering if this is on its way down.
