Tasting Notes for Twerp129

(6 notes on 6 wines)

1 - 6 of 6 Sort order
Red
More old world, mushrooms and earth on the nose. Lean-ish mid palate, finishes with cranberrys and better acid. Very nice wine let down by lean acid, but still a hell of a value.
Red
Massive, unrelenting, masculine pinot. Although well made, it is definitely a cocktail wine. The antithesis of Burgundy.
Red
Wonderful wine, earth and mushrooms on the nose. Good acid through to finish. Great buy if you enjoy low-alcohol pinots.
White - Sparkling
Green apple, pear, brioche, good acid. One of my favorites from Norm.
White - Sparkling
2007 Argyle Vintage Brut Willamette Valley Champagne Blend (view label images)
A bit more yeasty than most west coast bruts. Good acid, well made, well balanced, especially for the price. Not the best choice if you are looking for fruit forward bubbles.

Oak, oak, oak. Tastes like a fresh French barrel smells. Good smell, bad taste. Lingering acid and oak tannin clag on the finish. It's subtle like Nicholas Cage. I don't know what food would pair with it, but if you enjoy over the top woody Chards, this is one of the most ridiculous made by a wonderful person!
