Agree w note from Papablue2. Dark and sour cherry, leather, cigar box, drinking great now. From 375. Not sure I would hold these too much longer.

Drank a while ago and forgot to post note. Remember it was well balanced and being very pleased for the price.

Brick red, light cherry, oak and earth. A bit of heat. Decent acidity. Secondary flavors already starting to take lead. Cork was in good shape, but wine seems older than its true age. Like I feel after too much wine. Will drink the rest over the next year.

Rich dark red color leads to surprisingly light strawberry rhubarb nose and flavor. Oak. High acidity, which I usually like, but not enough fruit to balance. Good QPR at $30. Not good QPR at CT average price of over $70.

Agree w prior note from Derek Darth Taster. Red brick color and incredible amount of sediment after sitting undisturbed in cellar for over 10 years. Drink now. May have already peaked.

Nice wine. Less fruit than typical central coast pinot but still has weight. Raspberry, light cherry, rose petals, stem, earth and oak.

Darker fruit profile than I typically like, but well made. Paired well with Thanksgiving dinner. A crowd pleaser.

Agree with prior notes from WalkerJFW and Neecies but don’t know if this will improve with age. It is a darker fruit forward pinot at first. Best after ten mins of air, but after an hour the balance gets wonky. Fruit drops precipitously. Some nice savory elements emerge but the not so nice hint of wet dog that went away comes back. A bit thin, funky and stemmy after an hour or so when the fruit fades, which is why I wouldn’t hold these too long.

Raisinettes. Waited too long, but not sure if it was only the wine. My tastes may have changed too. Loved this wine 10 years ago.

Delicious. Well balanced, Bordeaux-like, juicy but balanced. Paired well with skirt steak.

Clean, no heat or butter, some oak but not too much, developing well, in a great spot now. Lemon zest, hazelnut and creme brûlée, balanced with nice acidity.

Good but not great. As others have said, more time in the bottle might help, but I’m not so sure. Fruit is already muted and acidity is fairly low. From a 375.

Complex, refined. Juicy dark fruit, lighter oak, balanced with nice acidity. As good as any of the best Napa or Sonoma cabs. Sorry they no longer make it.

Typical central coast Pinot. Full body, dark red and black fruits, earth, soyu, toast, wish it had less oak and more acid but a good wine overall.

Fruit faded but still plenty of heat. Hasn’t aged well - kind of an unbalanced mess. Maybe the heat will chill out with more time and everything could integrate into a nice savory tertiary burg-like Pinot, but I doubt it. My least favorite Patz...

One of the best zins, maybe the best, I have ever had. Smooth, balanced, delicious. And I don’t like zin.

Agree w recent tasting notes. Needs air but 30 minutes is plenty. Might have time left but I don’t see it getting better. Also the tightest cork I’ve ever pulled without breaking. Massive bricking and sediment. Pour slowly.

Whoever said inconsistent was spot on, but this monster also needed more time. We drank half the bottle, pumped and closed, and drank second half two days later. First half was very good. Second half was amazing. This can go for a while. Wow.

Big aroma of peach blossom and honeysuckle, which slightly carries over to palate but mostly toast, rocks and some saline. Very mineral. Tertiary flavors, possibly some oxidation.

Very nice. Out of the gate lots of black cherry and raspberry jam balanced by super bright acidity. After 30+ mins the fruit fades and sour cherry, rhubarb and black tea predominates with the acid still singing. Like this very much but I think it would have been even better a year or two ago. Drink up.

This is not a 95 wine. It’s an 88-89 (higher if you factor in QPR) but I’m balancing out the harsh graders. I’ve never seen so many low to meh ratings with positive notes for a wine as cheap as this. Might be the best $15 bottle of wine I’ve had in 20 years, excluding the freebies.

Agree with flavor notes from Belissimo and Rossi. Exceptionally well balanced and complex long finish. I’m not sure this will improve, can hold for a while but there is no reason to wait. Paired well with Peruvian food and went down too easy. Wish I had more.

Interesting. Black cherry, pomegranate and charcoal. Zippy acidity, which is great and impressive for its age. Wish it had more fruit and complexity to balance. Best after 15-30 minutes of air. More fruit loss after two hours, but the pleasant sour flinty flavor and zip remains. Enjoyable but I liked this more a few years ago. Drink up.

Wow, this is nice. Well balanced. Strawberry, cranberry, cherry, cedar, sandalwood, pepper and earth. Good acidity. Only negative is a bit of heat that hasn’t blown off enough after 45 mins. Otherwise really really good. Paired well with roast chicken and baby Yukon potatoes.
